Hey Getslim18,

I am with you on that. I have lost nothing and seem to fight myself to get motivated. And when I do get motivated it is short lived. I went to a jazzercise class today and was not happy that the walls were mirrored. I then told myself it is my fault I look like this cause no one else did this to me. I am not going to wait for my husband either, it has to be about me and no one else. I hate to diet. I am looking for life changes and I know what I will do and what I will not. I will not diet. But I will cut back on the foods I like and cut out the sweets and sodas. Good luck on your journey. Have a happy Turkey day.

There are often times I look in the mirror and I am happy with what I see. But seeing myself on a video or picture of my entire body was quite depressing since losing 36 lbs I am happier with what I see in pictures but there are still sometimes when I see my arms and it looks fatter thought or my face. I work out at least 4 to 5 days a week. But I have fallen back into some bad eating habits mainly because my husband is not dieting with me and was before, and he needs to be. But now I see I have to get it back together before I begin gaining again. I have to do this for me and my own health. I know there is a healthier, thinner me waiting to get out, and on that note I am heading to the gym. Have a blessed Sunday.

Carmen,
I had the same reaction when I saw a recent picture a friend had taken. I was not happy with what I saw! I don't have the same relationship with the mirror -- I'm obviously in denial when it comes to that. I see me, but I don't take a long hard look. It's like the cartoon on our team digest page!!! I too can tell by my clothes -- they're not comfy and they're not the size I want to be in. The only way there is going to be a change is for me to make them. My mind is made up -- and I wish you the best in your venture. You can do it!!!

If the journey was easy I wouldn't appreciate the benefits I reap.

I understand completely as I have the same syndrome what I see in the mirror and the way I see myself is two different things and not always positive to deal with.

But now step back and look at what you are doing already. You have made a decision to be here (positive), you have lost a few pounds already (positive) so do not let that negative image rule what you are doing for yourself.

Our goal weights are the same but I have a few more pounds to lose than you do. This program will work for you if you work it. Good luck.

You can spark mail me if you want to chat, vent or just say hi.

In my experience, I respond much better to positive motivation. Positive self talk works wonders. Give your self credit for starting to change your lifestyle. Be patient and you will see results and so will others. Feel free to spark mail me anytime if I can be of help to you. Lorraine

I am avoiding the mirror these days, I took a look yesterday and the person that I saw, was bursting out her clothes. she was hugh. I don't want to look like her at all.

She made me depress because I quickly got into work yesterday and I would not walk around I stayed at my desk because I did not want anyone else to see what she looked like today.

The bad thing about it is that you would think she would change her clothes because it was so tight but the fact is she could'nt they all look like that.

The only thing positive about her attitude is that she has determined not to accommodate the weight by buying new clothes but to stick with SP until she fit in them again. The only way she will make the effort to get a new worbe robe is if the clothes she has now has gets too big then she promises herself to go shopping for her new sp body.
