YUCK! YUCK! Unless you are a vegan do not try it. Bought it once--I would rather take the 30 calorie hit from a slice of real bacon.

There's also Sweet Earth Seitan vegan bacon, & Lightlife Smart Bacon - also vegan - what I'm trying to determine (without going out & buying them all so I can compare the labels) is which has the lowest fat & carb grams. Has anybody out there already done this research?

I have not tried the soy bacon or sausage but we like the turkey sausage by Jimmy Dean.

Hi - I am also new to this forum. I tried the MS veggie bacon many years ago when I lived in CO and really liked it - great BLTs. I haven't found it here in WI; but have to admit I haven't looked hard. I used the Jenni-o turkey bacon for the Holidays and it is no where as greasy as regular.

I'm a little uneasy about getting too much soy...how does the Morningstar product compare nutritionally with turkey bacon?

Hello and welcome.
Thank you for that wonderful information, I've been looking at this product for awhile, and to be honest couldn't see how it could be tastey, but now I think I'll give it a try.

Morning Star Farms frozen veggie bacon strips.

Boy, nothing in that sounds appetizing other than the words Morning Star Farms. :)

But I was really surprised how good it smells and tastes. I've tried other soy bacon products and they were rubbery and terrible.

But I tried this one this morning, with instant maple flavored oatmeal, and the combination of the maple and "bacon" was nice!

I'm new here, by the way. Wanted to share my discovery with any other bacon lovers.
