Izzy, welcome back. You need to make a list of baby steps and also the reasons why you want to succeed. Make all your steps attainable all those other things they tell us to do emoticon Tracking everything and also chatting on these teams and boards help a lot, too. Don't want to let yourself and everyone else down. I had another reply on here earlier and it disappeared or I hit the wrong button which could be it since my fingers are cold and not typing well.

Add another one to the list of those who are coming back for another try. I was doing so well and then about three months ago I fell away from all of the exercising and health eating practices that I was doing. I would love to say that it was because summer was here and I was to busy doing other things, but I can't even say that! I was just being a "slug". So here I am trying again. I renewed my membership at the gym and I will going back at least three times a week. I'm also going to start changing my eating habits to a more vegetarian type diet. Wish me luck!

Today I am getting ready to spend another fun day with my girls and their families. We are going to see Yakov Smirnoff's Christmas show. It is a dinner show so we also get a nice meal. We have enough free tickets to take the whole family.

Nothing else going on today....Remember the time change tonight so you can get that extra hour of sleep before church in the morning....

Hi everyone, I too am back for a second round of trying to lose weight and keeping it off. The problem I know I have to conquer is exercising and keeping it up.

welcome back Diane.
I too left Spark for a bit I let the stress of work and grown children take over my life. I was not so lucky in losing weight while I was gone like you did (by the way congrats on the weight loss)
I have stepped down from management and left the stress behind and grown children I have left them to deal with the drama they bring on to them self. As my husband tells me all the time... You need to take time for what I want in life so here it is I want my Spark family back and my motivation to lose the weight.
Hugs to all my Spark Family

Moxy31 the scale won't always show your progress. You could be building muscle which is heavier and losing inches. I understand about the friends on here they are what keeps me motivated on my weight loss journey. I was wanting to get down to 150 I didn't think someone like me who was almost 218 at one time could really go any lower. But seeing and reading the motivational stories I now know I can get to 135 which would really be what I want. So I am going for it I changed my ultimate goal to 135. I am going to reach it because I have all of you to help me reach it. I know your going to reach your goals because you also have us to help you.

Good morning. This is my first time commenting on this team. I love to read all your comments. I'm struggling with the scale but I feel my body seems lighter and the clothes fits better. I am so grateful to have friends like you that I don't even know, but I do know. SP is such a great place to be because I no linger feel alone on this journey. emoticon

Morning team. I am striving to get back in the team grove... I stepped away from SP for a bit but realized how important these teams are to my success. I did lose a great deal of weight while gone, but fell off the exercise bandwagon and making mindful choices. SP helps tremendously in keeping goals and priorities front and center. Since coming back I feel focused and centered again.

So I guess this was a long winded way of saying "Hi team... Glad I'm back!"

Hello team, I spent yesterday babysitting my 1 year old grand neice...wow! I forgot how busy they are at that age! I am hoping that by the time I'm a grandma I will be in better shape to keep up with the little ones!

This has been a long week. I haven't been able to get very much time to get my exercise in. I hope this week will be better. My scale hasn't been moving, but I have been finding the clothes in my closet are fitting much better.

My husband and I will be trying to winterize the yard tomorrow. I know I will be getting my exercise tomorrow.

I've been blessed with another busy fantastic day which started off with breakfast at Denny's with daughter and son in law, then off to Sears for laundry soap and check out some gift ideas. Next on the agenda was their grocery shopping. After shopping for an hour got back home in time to get a quick nap then off to help at the Harvest dinner we hosted for another church that was destroyed by the tornado. Lots of fellowship, fun, food and exercise. I didn't even want a dessert because I got full on salad and turkey.

Now, I'm tired......LoL.......Elsie

Hi team! This is my first time to read this discussion so I guess it is ok to jump right in. Today was weigh in day and I lost 1 pound! I was very excited because the scale had stopped moving for a few weeks. I hope I can catch up on things and make some new friends. And that all of you have a wonderful weekend!

Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.

I've been up and down the past two months since going back on asthma meds. Lungs are adjusting for winter. I am so ready to start again for those last 30 lbs. Onderland is elusive; so I am battening the hatches to maintain where I am until two more pounds release their grip on me and I will begin again. I am so convinced its one pound at a time and even just a few ounces gone is reason for celebration and resolve to keep going for me.

Had a busy day at work, trying to get caught up on everything. Phone calls, Saturday School prep work, student contracts and I just got an email that the district is sending out their attendance letters on Tuesday. That means I need to get mine out before that, Also found the last of the volunteer screening forms that were missing. Somehow they ended up in the Parent center, I thought school police was going to have to do them all over again.

I'm hoping we have enough students for this weeks Saturday School. I think I can get a lot done during those 5 hours that I'm there. I usually have a friend come along and she helps me with some of the filing and organizing.

Going on Friday after work to visit a friend who just had surgery. Then Saturday School on Saturday, and hopefully by then I will have the house cleaned so I can start on my stamping. I want to get those card sets made for the Christmas gifts, then I need to start making my Christmas cards. Crocheting the last few ornaments.

I need to take down my Halloween decorations and put up the Thanksgiving one too. So much to do and not enough hours in the day.

Keep working on your healthy journey, we will get there.

Had a great day today: no work today (local holiday) so we went to the movies and out to lunch. I had a Thai chicken salad and some artichoke/spinach dip. I'm within my daily calorie allotment bc I planned ahead. Working on cutting out appliques for the memory quilts. Keeps my hands busy. Sat is the Marine Ball and I'm ready for it. Got a hair and nail appt for Sat afternoon. I'm really excited about going this year. I wish I were going in a smaller size but hey, can't put life on hold till the weight comes off.

HI. Have had a very busy week. The grocery store i work at was swamped getting ready for Halloween, an know out comes the Christmas items! Im in the maint. dept. but am a "goffer" in general and do what ever needs to be done. Im on my feet and do alot of walking daily. I borrowed a pedometer and found Im averaging about 5-6 miles a shift. I still have not been able to let go of sodas, but am eatting 100% better. I moved in with Girlfriend this week and went from "throwing food on a plate" to eatting a good meal. Meat, vegies etc. in the right amounts. She told me that between now and the first of the year she wants me to join her in a membership at a local gym. I used to go there a while back byt just got tired, and quit. Will see how that goes. Okay. hope everyone is doing well. just wanted to check in. Oh yea..... I lost 2 pounds this week....... its a start!!!!!

The teachers will need the sugar energy to handle the kids who ate candy for breakfast! LOL My daughter did bag up the leftover candy she bought and planned to take it to work with her this morning so I am happy for that!

I'm doing Silver Sneakers this morning followed by Yoga stretch which is a style of yoga that doesn't make us get up and down from the floor since some of us just can't do that or do it fast enough to keep up with the moves. I will also need to start exchanging the Halloween decorations with Thanksgiving although if I wait until tomorrow my granddaughter would enjoy helping with that.

This is the first year in a long time that I bought any candy at all. I live in a security apartment complex and until recently we didn't have any kids in the building. The ones we did have were babies. So this year I bought chocolate covered raisins and some suckers for the little ones. But none of them came. So I guess I will take it all to work tomorrow. As if the school kids need the candy,. Think i will just put it in the staff lounge.

Meeting a friend for an early dinner after work, then to church tomorrow night. So it will be a late night. Won't get home until 7:30 or so.

Checking a few more emails, then to bed for me.!

Hopefully I can get caught up on the housework on Wednesday.

Have a great rest of the week.

I have had more than the usual number of kids here tonight. I am almost to the end of the candy. I think I will make it, not getting any more, I will just blow out my jack-o-lanterns and batten down the hatches and that will be it for the night.

Have a great week everyone.

I don't have little ones to check on as they're at home with mom and dad but when I mentioned the dish was getting low my youngest daughter (30) went to the store and bought "everything I could find. You owe me $30" so now there is a ton of stuff that I don't want here. Maybe she'll take it to work and let folks have some when they buy their beer. BTW I told her we wouldn't need more than maybe a small bag but since it was a school night we probably would be okay. Child has absolutely no common sense especially when it comes to money!!

Thanks everyone! I am feeling better, but not quite ready to get back to exercising yet. Felt better this morning, but as the day wears on I feel stuffed up and tired. Trying to rest as much as possible. There was some things I just couldn't leave for another day, like the laundry. Fixing dinner now, then shower and try to get to bed early. Have to be up at 4 tomorrow morning.

I know I will need my energy to be able to deal with the kids tomorrow, school will be crazy for the next two days. Please Lord give me patience!

Hope everyone has a great week ahead.

Great work everyone. I seem to be stuck at my current weight. I got stuck in March and now it seems I'm doing it again. Have boosted my walk routine and added some additional cardio, so hopefully something will give way in the next week or so.

Nanabe I hope you feel better. I know having a cold can wear you out so rest and you can pickup where you left off on your exercise when your feeling better. I took it easy yesterday when I got home from work. I used a Icy hot patch on my calf and thank God it worked cuz I have a dance showcase this afternoon. Everyone else have a good day and get in some exercise.

Well, the colds everyone else has had has finally hit me. Didn't exercise today, I'm lucky I made it back from shopping without falling asleep on the bus. Had to go out and get some new workout shoes. Had a coupon for 30% off, and couldn't pass that one up.

Stopped at Panera's and had soup and tea for lunch, then hit Target to get some candy for Halloween for trick or treaters at my apartments and some for the "trunk or Treat" at school. Also got some cold tablets and throat lozengers.

Got home and fell asleep in the recliner for almost 2 hours. Figures I must have needed it. Got up and took down the sheer curtains and washed the dining room and living room windows. I was wore out after that, so warmed up some stuffed peppers for dinner. Now trying to catch up on my emails for a little while and then try to get some sleep.

Definitely need to get to church in the morning. If I feel better I want to get to Fashion Bug, they have jackets on sale and I need one for this winter. Then have to do laundry and write out a few bills.

I sure hope I can shake this quickly. Think I'll fix some hot lemon tea before bed as well.

Congratulations to all those who lost this week. Way to go!

I got up early to put in my exercise this morning, as am going to Sioux Falls to meet my daughter and granddaughter. I am sure we will do plenty of walking there, but just want to make sure that I get it in while I am "fresh."

I was pleasantly surprised yesterday when I was able to wear a pair of slacks to work that I couldn't comfortably wear last year. The scale's not moving but my closet is giving me lots more things to wear.
