SUNNY have a good time in L.A.! Did you get your walk in?

ELIZA very good to her from you. My DD is also 21, a difficult age at best.

DIANE just keep on doing what you're doing. Your body is probably going through an adjustment period right now.

BONNIE I did keep all ofyou in my a.m. Rosary this morning.

I will be going to the ENT dr. for my allergy meds rhia moeninf. Then I have to work on updating my passport. Everything is online nowadays. So much trouble! It was so much easier when I could just go to the American Embassy & have it renewed there!

Bonnie positive thoughts with you about your friend.

Had a busy Sunday doing errands and working around the house. We have a busy week planned, a trip into Los Angeles and I am sheduled at my part time intermittment job. I plan to get in a walk every day. Working on getting the vacation pounds off and they are leaving 1/2 pound at a time.

Everyone have a great day

Scale is stubborn again today......still on plateau. Tracked last two days calories and I am eating 1300-1400 each day. That is with my limited added carbs on my eating plan. Guess my slow metabolism is slower than even I thought? Did two power walks yesterday, too, darn. Day 43 today of walking streak....yeah!

That said, I am still determined not to let this plateau beat me. I am going to keep on doing my plan and trying to do more exercise/activity. My heart meds make me pretty lethargic (with heart rate between 60-64 all the time) and after lunch I am especially lazy. I have to pace my housework but manage to still do it all myself.....of course, my standards of perfection in those tasks have been lowered, too...LOL!

SAMMI and MICHELE

Thank you for your prayers, they really did help. Mark is so positive, that it was easy to feel good. If any of you have the time, please send prayers for his recovery, and for continued strength for the whole family.

My friend Rose Marie is Mark's mom. Not sure if I mentioned it before or now, but we met when she was my Weight Watcher instructor when I lost the 135 pounds. Mark joined our group when he turned 18. I became a family friend and have been to many family occasions at the home of Rose Marie and her husband Bill before he passed about 13 years ago. Last time I saw them all was at Mark's 50th birthday celebration 2 years ago at his sister Kathy's house.. Rose Marie and Bill had 9 children in total.

Unfortunately, we all are still overweight. But, we still love each other. It was wonderful to see Mark's nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters, his mom, his wife and her family surrounding him with love. The nieces and nephews planned the benefit. Of course they all helped.

I am feeling very moved from this day. Glad I was able to experience it. There was a very large crowd, showing you how many lives Mark has touched in his 52 years.

God Bless my friends, and have a great week. MICHELE, I realize that your week has already begun, so continue to enjoy it.

BONNIE you definitely have myprayers this day!

BRENDA I am like you, so is DD for that matter----don't eat when I am stressed. I basiclly also have the same attitude as you, & keep reminding DD of it.

This monday morning, I am teaching my children students in the a.m. rather than the afternoon. Summer vacation has finally started over here; most kids don't get out for the summer until the end of July.

Have a good Sunday all. Bonnie---I pray for your strength this day!

In about ah hour, I am going to a benefit for a young friend of mine who has a very bad cancer.

I am praying that God will give me strength to bring joy to Mark and his family by bringing my joy there. I have know these people for well over 35 years, and Mark is about 50 or so years old. He has not had an easy life, so I am praying for him as well.

Please send up a little prayer for me to be strong and good at the party.

God Bless and keep all of you well, my friends.

I never eat when I am stressed, am just the opposite, I don't eat. My weight is staying a steady 147.50 for the past few days and my jeans are fitting much better. Stressing about things doesn't help a thing because we can't do anything about what other people do, only what we do. Their problems are not mine. I will do what I can to help someone, if they are hungry I will give them food but never money. I was loaning my friend money but am not doing it anymore because she keeps spending more that she doesn't have and then can't pay her credit cards. Tries to be the big hero buying things for others. She told me she wanted me to help her manage her bills and that she was going to give me her credit cards to keep but will keep two in her wallet. I told her if she gives them to me to hold I will shred them and that she needs a credit counselor. So she is on her own. I did give her a couple bags of food that she probably gave away but that is all right. It is stuff I get from the food bank and don't eat.

Heading out for my power walk soon. Weather is cooler with high winds! But will be better for walking so no complaints.

Scale is steady again today. Still waiting to get off my plateau.....but as I have been purposefully adding small amounts of carbs (whole wheat bread, brown rice, sweet potatoes....before 2:00) and their calories that is expected. Still on my eating plan.....and, so far, no "comfort foods" even though close family problems are stressing me to point of worry and disturbed sleep. If not committed to my diet/healthy plan for 42 days, I know I would have been eating lots of carbs and gaining. Thankful for doing as well as I am and still doing it each day as it comes.

Wishing everyone a sunny Sunday.

Good Morning Sparklers --- lots of good, positive stuff here. You are the best!

Finally got back to yoga yesterday --- new air conditioner. I really miss it when I don't go. Plan to add going to the gym back into my schedule.

Diane, keep up the good work. Goals reached slowly are easier to maintain. It's a lifestyle not a diet.

What great progress. Glad you understood where I was coming from with my story. Sometimes it is difficult to relate on paper. So always glad when I have communicated what I meant to say. LOL Congrats on the smaller size pants. You don't have to buy them, just try them on!

DALE

God Bless my dear, and lots of prayers. Prayers for your mom and her surgery, and for you to take care of you while you are going through that.

MICHELE

You have to be the most physically strong person I know. All of the exercise you get is so wonderful. I am sure you could use a little less, but you do it so well!

I rode my exercise bike for 25 minutes today.

Wishing you all a lovely rest of the weekend.

God Bless all

BONNIE,
What you share is an essential piece of the self care struggle and well expressed for anyone to relate, THANK YOU. What you have shared is really important stuff!!!

I posted on our FINE TUNING CHALLENGE thread rather than this CHAT thread but it could have come here just as well today. I'm just trying not to be redundant and take time posting all over the place in place of getting life done more efficiently. It's tempting for me to talk about life rather than delve into resolving things.

I love you all,

Diane,

You are doing so great with your streak and you can see great improvements in your wardrobe. Did you also know that muscle weighs more than fat? You are turning your fat into muscle, that is why you are weighing more and getting slimmer.

Keep on Keepin' on! You will soon be tossing those bigger sizes.

One day at a time, I plan to focus on positives I have accomplished since start of my healthy plan....
I am on track with my power walk streak...day 41...yeah!
My clothes in my closet are sure still looser....and yesterday I fit into some smaller pants DH brought me to try on in a store. I didn't like the style on me....but could have actually worn them comfortably! A step in the right direction!

BONNIE thank you for considering me a friend enough to share your life with me! Although I've never suffered from either one of those disorders, I am famous in my family for always taking the hard road, always being too hard on myself! You are doing a great job, too!

Bonnie....what a truly sharing message! I am very moved by your sincerity. Everything you said seemed to speak to me....and I am very thankful. I realize reading about your experiences that I have been somewhat obsessive and hard on myself. It is one day at a time and I will try to do that one day approach with more of the spirit you have shared.

MICHELE

Hope this sizzling weather gets over for you very soon. This seems unusual for you, to have this much? Cool off my dear.

DIANE

I think that you are doing great, and that you have a great new lifestyle that you are establishing. The scale will do whatever it will do, but you are much healthier than before, and I will bet that your clothes fit much better.

Here is the reason I am always telling people to not put too much emphasis on the scale. When I was about 28 years old, I lost 135 pounds on WW. I weighed about 145 pounds. For me, that actually was quite thin, my face actually looked gaunt. Imagine that, me gaunt. LOL

But, I was so compulsive about losing weight, that I had reached my goal weight and wanted to loss 10 more pounds. I was not dealing with the issues that made me eat so compulsively, in fact, I was eating as compulsively as ever, I was just compulsive about every bite that went into my mouth, and was anxious all of the time.

My head was in the wrong place. I was doing the same things I had always done, just in a different way. This is when I discovered that anorexia, and bulimia, etc, are the same disease as compulsive overeating. It is about what I was saying to myself in my subconscious mind, and about being on a "diet". I had just turned it all around in still the wrong direction. LOL

In two more years, I had gained all of the weight back, and sunk into a very deep depression.

Now I have a friend who suffered from anorexia, who agrees with me, when we compare the things that we have done.

Over the years, I have learned so many very bad habits, that I get frustrated and give up much too easily at times.

But, I will say, that even though I was not able to keep off the 70 pounds that I had lost, I have kept off 40 pounds even during periods of extreme pain, several surgeries, and now recovery.

I have a long way to go, but I do credit Spark People and the teachings here, along with my friends who are so faithful and true, for helping me to keep off 40 pounds.

I guess what I am asking you to do, is to give yourself credit for what you have already accomplished no matter what the scale says. You are doing a great job, take that into consideration, and if you make a mistake, forgive yourself, and keep on going. that is why we say "One day at a time" so very often.

I wish you well on your journey. I also am rooting for all of the rest of you.

God Bless all of you, and keep us ALL going in the right direction.

Diane I agree it is hard to be around someone eating chips and dip of any sort. Congrats on making goo choices when going out It is hard sometimes to order the lower calorie food. The fried and sauced dishes just taste so good. But the scale is not happy.

Michele Do take care with the heat. Not much you can do but run the AC.

Brenda I love cookies but I really avoid them. It is too hard to stop with just one.

Michele and Brenda...thanks for your encouragement....much needed and appreciated!
I am still not happy with the "number" but it is what it is....so, yes, this is my day 1 all over again. I will strive to view it positively! Hoping I retained some excess fluid to cause some of that big jump? Time will tell.
Wish I did have some other more exact "measure" but except for my loose clothes I have none.

While waiting for our car to be serviced we ate out and I choose grilled walleye filet with green salad. DH had his fish deep fried with French fries....so I managed to eat healthy and still have a wonderful, tasty meal. I just had my yogurt (so DH had some too)....it's been about 5 min and now he is having queso dip and chips. I had to leave the room as the crunchy chewing was making me want some...LOL! Hard being strong but I will not let the darn broken scale be the cause of my taking any steps backwards. Grabbed 4 low salt almonds so I now feel I had my crunch.

New scale woes....
New scale says 3 lbs heavier than old so I reluctantly recorded the new number 157.5.
This has to be my new Day 1 of my plan.
I obviously cannot count on any of my old weigh-ins and actually have no true idea where I actually started from weight-wise. Can't count my last 153 number either! Sigh!

That said, I will get over it and get on with my eating plan. May decide to start my clean cycle a bit earlier? Going to study a bit and make the decision today how I want to proceed.

Have a great Friday all.....

BRENDA when I want to reach for a snack, I think ofyou & how you turn down all of those carbs---sweets & all---& b/c of you---thank you! I am able to resist! So you are doing someone some good, all the way over in Tokyo Japan!!!!

DID you know that gum is good for exercising your jaw muscles? It is also good for your teeth---if you get the right kind---b/c it washes the saliva & othe bacteria that cause gum disease & cavities off the enamal surface of the teeth! Keep up the chewing!

I am sitting here sweating to death! I am going to go downstairs where it is cooler!

Michele,

It has been raining all day long so I didn't go to the gas station----maybe tomorrow. I only went downstairs to get my BP taken this afternoon and our manager had bought those cookies with frosting inside, a long wafer type. I told her she is trying to kill us buying all the cookies and candy all the time. I told her we would rather have fruit but fat chance of that. In the meantime the card players were sitting there inhaling them. Virginia came over to the long table to make a plate of cookies for their table and I told her she would burn more calories if she would walk back and forth to get a cookie. She just laughed at me. Thought I was joking but I wasn't.

I just found out I am down to a partial pack of gum so I do need to go get more tomorrow. I usually have several three packs but quit buying so much so it doesn't get stale.

BRENDA

There actually is a scientific reason why they don't want you to fill your car on really hot days. Also to not mow that grass until after dark as well. They call them Ozone action days here in Toledo. If I understand correctly, it has something to do with the fumes expanding into the air and creating more pollution. Not exactly sure, but sounds kind of right to me.

We had a wonderful day together yesterday. Went all over around Lake Erie. Went to Port Clinton, East Harbor, a state park on Lake Erie, Marblehead to see the lighthouse, shopping and antiquing a bit. Did quite a bit of walking

Then later in the day, we went to the wine bar. Found a wine that I liked, not a big wine drinker, but this was really good. We had a ball. Actually some guy stopped and bought us a couple of bottles of wine, and visited and teased with us for a couple of hours. Needless to say, we thought we were all 20 again, and drank a bit too much. So much fun though.

We hung out for a while, and then went to another bar very close and had chicken wings. Did not drink there at all, just spent the time sobering up so we could drive. Debbie drove Amy's car back to her house, and I drove Amy and her car back to mine. She spent the night. We just went a bit ago to breakfast. I do not sleep very well when I drink so I am fine, but will sleep well tonight.

The birthday celebration was a great success.

Hope you are all having a lovely day today.

Bonnie

Yep,
My chicken turned out really good. The skin gets really crunchy and very pretty cooking it in the NuWave but I take it off and throw it away. All the fat drains to the bottom of the pan so all that is left is juicy chicken. I had a green salad with it and now I have a lot left over for a few more low calorie meals. It was a huge chicken.

I guess it rained most of the night. I woke up at 4:30 and couldn't get back to sleep so was up at 5 and here I sit sparking and drinking a tall coffee, French Roast. It is so strong I have to make it tall or it will curl my hair. It has a good flavor tho.

Yesterday I knocked a whole cup off my end table and had a mess to clean up. Luckily, we have indoor/outdoor dark carpeting in our apartments so it didn't leave a stain.

Mary,

I hope you found your way to your appointment this morning. I don't have GPS on my old car, have no need for it because I can follow directions on mapquest. Of course, I seldom go anywhere that I am unfamiliar with. I just turn right when I am lost. I drove a mobile catering truck for 10 years and often had to go find a new business to serve with just a few notes and usually found it on my own. We were on a tight time schedule so we had to be on time or lose food sales. The food was prepared and put in little trays and frozen for us to sell. Not very healthy but was pretty good overall.

Michele,

It's good you got your glasses back. I'm hearing our hot weather is returning by the weekend. I think I will go get some gas today while it is cool. I heard that when it is really hot you don't get as much gas because it expands. That is probably an old wives tale but I don't like going to the gas station in hot weather just for general purposes. I don't drive much so I don't spend a lot on gas.

Good Morning Sparklers --- no yoga today, the air conditioner is down so I am going walking instead.

Sunny, hope you get some nice rain soon. I lived in Denver twice, the first time for three years and then a few years later two more years. I met my first husband in Denver. I lost him to cancer 30 years ago.

Bonnie, what a great birthday that will be -- love the Zac Brown Band's music. My favorite song is Goodbye in her eyes.

Michele, sorry to hear about your cousin.

Brenda, the chicken sounds wonderful.

Welcome back Margaret.

Have a wonderful day Sparkling Friends, Sammi emoticon

Michele,

Kathy, one of our residents lost her four year battle with Cancer last night. A relative was sitting with her and called 911. The ambulance and fire truck and three police cars came and then the Coronor. This all happened between 11 pm and 2 am. Elinor told me about it. I live on the back side of the building and I never know what is going on in the front of the building. They don't turn on the sirens when it is a death. Kathy lived on the 1st floor. Her apartment is already rented basically, There is a homeless woman named Julie staying with a friend temporarily at the apartment house at the bottom of the hill and she will be moving in shortly. The medical equipment rental store came this afternoon and took away all the medical stuff. I guess Julie is in bad shape right now. She just had knee surgery and I don't think she has
much as far as furniture and stuff goes. I have about given away all that I can to others who have moved in with nothing.

I spent the afternoon downstairs. Laurie, our manager was giving some of her mother and father's things away but I didn't want any of it. She also had a case of wine and some of the women were teasing her about breaking open a bottle so she decided it would be all right. I came home and got my bottle cork opener and Laura figured out how it worked. Laurie passed around paper water cups with a little wine in each one so everyone down there got a taste. Three of us declined. I don't drink and some couldn't drink with their medications or just didn't like wine. Laurie gave us all a shopping bag. It was a fun afternoon. Elinor was down there with Princess and she was entertaining everyone.

Mary,

The storm is here and it is raining pretty good right now. No thunder or lightening so far. Eastern Washington is now having mud slides because the burned ground won't hold the water because everything was burned off. What a mess.

You will feel so good when you finally find a place to donate Dave's clothing. There is a real need for men's clothing all the time.

I didn't get my desk cleaned out like I thought I was going to because I didn't come back after I went down to check my mail. Now I have a whole chicken cooking in the Nu Wave oven. I put part of an onion and a lemon wedge inside the cavity and oiled and Lemon Peppered all over the hen. It is smelling really good. The NuWave cooks with a light and is very fast. Fresh or frozen foods can be cooked in half the time of a regular oven.

Sunny,

How did your day go? You are so good with your volunteering. Sometimes here we have water restrictions when it gets exceptionally dry here in the summer time. Did you say you have had a drought for three years? Whatever it is, that is too long.

Bonnie,

Glad you are out with your friends and feeling really good. I bet it is fun having Scott's children there playing in the pool. Nothing like children's laughter.

Hi Margaret,

I do remember you and it is good to have you back with us. Do you have your own pool or is it a community pool?

Come back when you have time, we are always here.

Michele,

So sorry about your cousin but more for his wife and children. That is so hard, especially when the children are so young. I hope he had some sort of insurance to help her.

Diane,

You are doing so well with your streak. You will soon be at your target size. Do not stress over what the scale says, it is only a number. It is how you feel and how your clothes fit and how good you feel.

Bonnie,

You are probably having a great time celebrating today. emoticon

Will stop by later. I need to get dressed and have some breakfast before people start knocking on my door.

Michele...so sorry about the loss of your cousin at such a young age. It is indeed sad to leave behind a young family. I, too, have known loss of family/friends who were way too young to leave this earth. I am comforted in believing those loved ones are together and at peace. I believe as you do each day is a blessing......as long as I have my mind and reasonable health, my age does not matter. My weight loss effort is very much about wanting to remain as healthy as I can for as long as I can!

Added carbs/calories for only a couple days and my "unreliable" scale says I am up .5 lbs this a.m. Darn. Now I am worried a bit what the new scale will tell me in a few days?
Walked this a.m. 36 day streak....will keep on with the eating plan and hope my keeping strong works in the end to get me to my goal weight.

Hang in there everyone....have a good day!

Hi team,
I used to be very active on this team a year or so ago and then..... well life got in the way for a while. But I'm back at it and getting my fitness and nutrition back on track.

My new modus operandi is swimming-- much easier on the joints and sore back in fact I haven't felt this good in a long time. Been swimming for about 2mths now (almost daily) and enjoying it more and more. I still enjoy horse back riding but am limited on how much I can do. I find my right leg go numb after awhile and can only ride for about an hour emoticon But I still enjoy my girls and spend time with them caring for them.

Hope all you lovely people have a great day and a great spark! emoticon

Off to the volunteer job today so no exercising. I am just too tired after 2 hours of driving and 4 1/2 hours of leading tours also it is going to be warm for us today

The drought has been going on for over 3 years. The lakes all over the state are dangerously low. The reservoirs are also low. The farmers have been using the water in the aquifers for the past years and it is low since there have been no rains

The entire state is brown, and the forests are dying because of lack of rain and being attacked by pests. Hoping for a wet winter this year but no predictions as yet.

Glad your hand is so much better. That is pretty cool that you are getting a part time job out of the deal. I hope it works out just right for you.

Good luck with those 5 pounds.

How long has the drought been going on were you are? I know it has been years if I am understanding it correctly. That is pretty bad.

I am so sorry that you lost your cousin. That is so sad to have left young children. Tough for all of you I am sure.

I am going with my friends tomorrow. It is kind of tough to keep these time zones in order! LOL

Had a good day in the pool with Scott and the kids.
Had a pretty good day in general. I feel pretty good today.

Have a great day tomorrow all, and Michele, have a great "whatever" time of day it is where you are.

SUNNY aren't there fines for those who use water for gardens & washing cars? Some of those boring tasks we do at home can make us feel so good when they are done! Glad your hand is better. And emoticon on that vacation weight! One steady day at a time!

BONNIE I have always been a crier----ever since I can remember. It is my stress reliever! And yes, a good cry does make us feel better. How was yoru date with your BFFS?
As for your age----be happy & feel blessed!!!! that you are as "young" as you are! My cousin in Detroit had brain cancer & died july '03. He was only 38. He left behind his wife & 3 small kids---6, 4, & 2 1/2 years old. His funersal was soooooooooo sad! I decided after that to change my atttitude about my life---my gray hair, weight, age etc. If one is blessed enough to live as long as you have, they are truely lucky! I hope I make it to 60. I am going to be 54 in Dec.

MACI how busy you are! What a dedicated g-ma. Do be careful not to over do. Maybe you could plan those snacks for on the run times?

I got my walk in at 5:30 a.m. this morning. Late for me! Tad (DH) didn't come home last night as he had a business meeting with lots of drinking so he stayed over night in his office. Gave me a chance to sleep in a little! I have forgotten what sleeping past 5 a.m. was like!

We have been getting a few, boring projects done around the house and it took up a lot of time so I wasn't posting very much. Some of it was the back and forth to the hardware store. One project was reducing down our water usage in the garden because of the horrible drought conditions.

I am finished with physical therapy but the therapist has asked me to join her team and do some part time intermittent substitute work. She needs help occasionally when one of the regular assistants is going to be out. I mentioned to her that I was retired and had few commitments at this time. She was excited because I took the early appointment and always came on time. Since I have been through her program, I dont need much training. The people who come have hand, arm or shoulder injuries nothing gory or ugly. The one problem is doing it intermittently. I have created some cheat sheets but it takes some reacquainting with the processes and procedures. I have been off for three weeks and I am working two days this week. She has some summer college students working this summer but in September they all go back to school. It starts early at 7:30am so I am not able to get my exercise in early. I have to be responsible and do it later in the afternoon after the sun starts to set. As long as it doesnt become too often, it will work out well for me.

Focusing on my eating to help get the sticky vacation 5 pounds off by doing a lot of tracking. Weight had gone up 6 pounds above goal. Now I am at 5 pounds above goal. .Planning food choices in the morning before I get going and it does help be to make better choices. On Day 2 and doing ok by reducing sugar, limiting starches and watching portions.

Diane I have to weigh myself everyday otherwise I drift towards eating too much. I have a nice scale which seems to be fairly reliable. Hope yours comes soon and works.

Sammi I love the old photo. My daughter and her cousin had one done when they were 7 & 8; I would love to have them do another but cant get them to agree to do it. Florida and Colorado??

Michele I know you will miss your pool time although with all your bike riding you do get in some exercise. I have had a cleaning service come in while my hand was recovering. The contract is done and I am going back to doing it myself. I just plan out the cleaning over each week. Some weeks I do more than others. It was hard seeing the amount of time they spend on each task and knowing that it takes me longer but the house is much cleaner when I do it.

Bonnie I love outdoor concerts in the summer. There are some near us but this summer they seem to be trying to attract a younger crowd and a lot of the concerts are rock type music. We drove 1 hrs. to a concert last weekend because it is a musician we like and had not been to that venue. It was a wonderful evening. A fun thing was the peacocks in the park. They perch in the trees around the meadow area and occasionally squawk during the concert. The musician made comments about their intrusion into the songs. We are not going to go to anymore concerts there this summer because we didnt get home until after midnight. We love the Hollywood Bowl but it takes a long time to get there because of the traffic and takes even longer to get home because of the traffic.

Maci what a fun busy summer schedule, I was glad to read your post. I agree food planning drops off the radar when there isnt enough time to do real cooking which includes the planning and grocery shopping.

Well I am off to get a few things done around the house.

Glad to know you are enjoying your summer. It has been a pretty good one here.

Scott is on vacation this week, and the kids spent the night last night. They are out playing in the pool now. I was in for a bit, but I generally wait until late afternoon when the sun is not so strong. I hate to wear sunscreen, so I generally go out when there is shade.

Tomorrow have an outing planned with my BFF's Amy and Debbie. Should be a good day.
It is actually Amy's 60th birthday, but she is insisting that she is ignoring it, so we had to plan it for her. Actually, tomorrow is to be my birthday celebration, because we are doing what she wants on my actual birthday. I really don't care, I will celebrate my birthday as many times as I can.

We are going to a concert at a venue a couple of hours away on my 65th birthday on Sept 14. We are going to see the Zac Brown Band. That is whom she wanted to see. I couldn't really care less, as any live show is good with me, and I like them too.

I am going to go outside and sit in the shade with Scott and the kids now.

Hi ladies, woohoo my computer is all up and running again, although it's abit slower. hummm. Oh well it works and that's awesome news to me.

I took the gkids to the pool today too! This time I didn't join them just watched, they love it, I bought diving sticks so they keep themselves busy. Tomm I brave the scales again, I made a commitment that i was going to lose wt this yr, started the yr w/a bang, now about 50% of the days I don't blow it somehow. No worries, i know all I have to do is spark and it all comes back in focus.

Hope you all are having a great summer, I am sooo busy, all the gkids are out of school and with the fun events going on around me, I dont have time to breathe. Tomm is a tennis ladies night outing at the sports arena, Weds finds me at a play "mary poppins" w/the gkids, and Thurs off to the City "san Diego" to take Addie and her friends to Belmont park, a roller coaster park at the beach. Fri No plans yet! No kids either, I think I might just take a day off to rest. (If god can do it so can I) Sat-a brownies outing for brianna, hopefully i can just drop her off and pick her up! Around all these things are babysitting and tennis. There is never a dull moment!

What I am missing is the ability to put my food choices in perspective, It seems I am always eating on the go. Which is fine but by the end of the day I am exhausted and reach for fast and easy. Fast, and easy is usually not low cal. Today I am w/i cals, most the days this wk I was also w/i cals, so hopefully i can watch the pds start dropping again.

Happy Tues ladies!

Yes, my niece does my hair for free. It is part of our agreement since I retired to take care of her and her sister's children. LOL

Went to the grocery this afternoon. Came home and got into the pool, cleaning it and swimming. My knee is still giving me issues, so I called the surgeon and am going to see him on Monday next.

I just want to make sure that there is nothing wrong, and I will feel better.

Just got back into the pool for a bit, but was kind of cold, so I just pulled the solar cover back on and got back out.

Had a therapy appointment this evening. Had a good cry, and felt better. Sometimes you just need to have a good cry. LOL

Have a good rest of today, and a great tomorrow my friends.
