Yes, Wii Active is, IMHO, significantly better. To me, Wii Fit is more like a "game" and Active is real exercises/workout that get you sweating and challenge your muscles. I'm in the 2nd week of the 30-day Active challenge & find it very effective. I've done both Fit and Active and rarely felt challenged by Fit.

Is the WII active better? I just purchased the WII Fitplus and it is the same as the WII fit. I feel cheated. I did the step yesterday and the aerobics for about 1/2 hour and feel it in my calves.

I got one for my bday in April. Wii Fit isn't pretty much a beginner workout, more focused on fun than "workout". That said, it adds a lot of fun to getting into working out. If you want a little more challenge and a more traditional workout, get the Wii Active software to go with your Wii - the exercises and cardio are much more robust and you can adjust them to your personal fitness level and goals. And, it's still a lot of fun and engaging. Contact me offline if you want more details/info, okay?

I have one and you get out of it what you put into it. If you really try hard and not just play it gives you a good workout.

I like mine a lot!

I don't have one myself (yet, but it's nearly Christmas, LOL!). There are lots of users out there and if you go to Community, then Teams, and enter "Wii" in the search box you will find 22 teams - one of them is sure to be able to help you out!

I'm considering getting a WII fit. How do people like it? Do any of you have one? How intense are the workouts?
