I like reading about your family on the farm. It brings to mind a life-style that is close to the earth.

My parents had 4 children so we had a family of 6. There were many happy times when grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and old family friends would visit for a weekend or a week.

We lived in the country, but in a neighborhood where our neighbors all had children the same age as me and my siblings. They were in our classes at school and we could play games after school. Our mothers would bake things and share with our neighbors.

When you live with many other people near you it shows you that you are one of the human race with similarities to everyone you know.

Growing up, our family welcomed a lot of people. We always had an open door policy. You don't have to knock on our doors to come in, just come in. We may not have much, but we were always able to give people a roof over their heads and food in their tummy's. I grew up on a farm. We raised our food. Went deer hunting, fishing, slaughtered our livestock to survive. God, only knew who needed food more then us. My mom made our clothes. We were poor. Struggling, but times seemed to be simpler then as well.

The house I grew up in started out as a three bedroom one bath house. By the time my dad decided not to add any more to it. It became a seven bedroom to bath house with an attached apartment. Right now, my house is a three bedroom two bath double wide mobile home. All the rooms are full, so my cousin sleeps in my living room. It works for us.

So far this month I've been focusing on getting the car ready for cold weather. I have to do it little by little since I'm not a member of the Trump family. It's good you are having your relative move in with you; the more the merrier. I used to have a 6 bedroom house that was full of people and it was good to have so many voices. The grumpy voices got cheerful as time went on.

Happy September to you all. Fall is upon us. September 23 is the first day of Autumn. Do you have big plans for the new month? My plans are to continue doing what I am doing. Maybe add a new exercise. My sky is the limit. I know I have to get a lot more jewelry done in order to sell them at a craft fair. The only thing I got done is one necklace and six pairs of earrings. I need a lot more. I also am going to be teach a class later this month in how to make stretchy bracelets. I choose those because they are the easiest to do and don't really cost a lot. It's going to be a busy month. Another person is moving into my home. I am feverishly cleaning out one of my closets so she will have a place to put some of her stuff. It's a relative. So it should be okay. Everyone needs help once and awhile. Everyone take care.

Love and peace,
Mary
