Thank you Lizzy63, as of this morning I have changed my diet completely. Bran for breakfast, morning snack and then lunch. I will be having an afternoon snack and dinner around 5-6 then I have hopefully left room for a snack around 8. It is only 2.30pm and I am stuffed already. Thanks for the advice, I am now filling in my nutrition planner including all the tea I drink. I will review myself in a weeks time and see how it goes.

You definitely need to track what you eat properly.
You are not eating nearly enough for your weight or exercise etc.

I started out at over 15 stone, so I know how easy it is to think the less you eat the more you will lose WRONG!

I still have times when I don't eat enough and the weight will not only stop, but you will gain!

So start with eating a proper breakfast AND lunch and track everything including the sugar you put in your tea and the choc bar!

If that is all that you consume, then I agree with her - more than likely your body is defending itself from lack of nutrition. Even if you are vegan, you need to consume approx. 1200 calories a day.

Take a look at your Spark nutrition chart. It will show you if you register daily what you consume exactly what your body would be lacking in nutrients. I'm certain that will show that you need more protein, more carbohydrates, and more of most intake.

My starting weight is 14st2lb. I do my 45 min work out with this I have 1 ltr of water. At around 9.am I have a banana, at 1pm I have lunch which is a juice, normally consisting of fruit/veg juiced to drink. Dinner is normally at around 5/6pm which consists of veg, pots, meat not big portions. During the day I drink tea with 1 sugar around about 6 cups in 24 hrs approx. Not everyday, but at weekends I have one or two biscuits or a small choc bar as a treat. But that is it.

It seems like you aren't giving your body the food it needs and what its doing is slowing your metabolism down. You may want to add more calories to the earlier part of your day. I hope you find this helpful and best of luck to you.

What is your starting weight?
Maybe 2 pounds a week is too aggressive for your body.

Are you actually tracking what you are eating?
What is your calorie range?
From your short description it sounds like you aren't eating enough.
Juice is not lunch, it's a drink.
Also no food after a 5-6pm dinner is a long time to go before breakfast next day.

have you looked at calories burned and calories in? silly as it sounds that makes a difference because....if you are working out 3x a week and your calorie intake is not adjusted top that you will also find your body say uh uh no way - I am not giving anything up. so it tends to hold because it feels like its starving.

How much fiber are you getting? I've discovered that even when I keep my caloric intake to 1200/day, that if I do not intake enough fiber then I don't eliminate properly. I've yo-yo'd on this for more than 6 mths before just having an 'aha!' this past week at a different situation. I've literally dropped 3 lbs in 4 days just from having oatmeal instead of my usual shake for bfast! Same caloric count, but BIG difference in result.

Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong. I have been trying to loose weight (2lb wk) since 29th Jan. I do a 45 minute work out every morning which burns at least 300+ calories. I have fruit for breakfast and a juice for lunch and a main meal in the evening (around 5-6ish)that's it. It has now been 8 weeks I have not lost A pound? Please help explain why. Much appreciated.
