Holding steady at 154. I'm happy with this at the moment. I'm still studying for that test.

I came out even for May.

June 4 154#

Since my start at 180#, I've lost 26#s. Sometimes it is good to look back at where you came from.

May 27 I was down a half pound. However, by weigh in on the 29th, I was up 2. Please tell me it was water. I didn't even want to log on and record it on SP. So, June 1st is going to reflect the higher weight -- Boo Hoo!

Noree... Yes, being over 40 is a challenge when it comes to loosing weight. Are you drinking 8+ glasses of water? Eating healthy snacks helps me so I don't over eat during regular meals. I also have added weights machines to my work out twice a week. Building muscle helps burn fat faster... it's why guys can loose weight easier. I hope these tips help.

Remember slow and steady weight loss is the best way to do it.

May 1st - 157 lb. I'm determined not to find the pounds I lost last month!
May 8th - 157 - still hanging on!

May 15th - 158 - here I go again. This is depressing

May 22nd - I'm boycotting the scale this week.

May 29th - 159 I gained a bunch and then lost some. I've never noticed how much my weight fluctuates with these same pounds up and down. Part of the problem is my job -- I can't walk on my lunch hour any more, I have to be chained to my desk.

Ending 159 -- that's up two from the end of last month. I hate this yoyo

Let's walk!

Way to go ladies! You are holding strong; consistency is the key! I'm seeing the scale go down slowly but it is going down.

May 12 160.5
May 19 160.9
May 26 159.8 I finally got below 160 - my 1st goal.

I held in the range by 1 pound so I was maintaining and finally moved down. I am feeling great in shorts. The weight around my waist and hips has diminished a lot. Going to the gym consistently and eating right has made a big difference. Thank you Sparkpeople.

Punky, that's a good question... it is a consistency thing. AM weight is always before eating; evening is usually after.

There have been times when weight flux is too much in a day or not enough in a day. I will kind of let that day go but pay attention to what might have the impact extreme change impact (too much alcohol, over/undereating). My changes are usually reflective of eating and exercising 2 to 3 days past. If I see no more than a 2# change, I know that it is my "real weight" range.

May 1st - 137 (am)
May 8th - 137

Earlier this week I saw 133, but today I'm back to May 15th - 137, so now I'm going to the gym!
May 21nd - 135, in the am! OK!
May 28th - 133 this morning! Back for the evening weigh in... 135, again. Oh well.
Saying that - May 31st - 136 tonite, but I'm "claiming" the 134! emoticon

ttleelee,

I've been reading your posts for a long time. (that sounds kinda weird, but anyway), why do you weigh both morning and night. I generally add about 2 lbs over the course of the day, so I pick one time to weigh in. Then my weights are more consistent and easier to keep track of from day to day. I like mornings. So that is my consistent weigh-in and I judge day to day off of that weight. Weighing in the evening would depress me.

I am stuck at 130. My goal is 125 but I'm having trouble shedding the last few pounds. Truthfully, I haven't been working out as often as I should, only 3 or 4 days a week but I try. On the emoticon side, I am maintaining a healthy weight and feel so much better.

Argh. The first week yet with NO LOSS!
I'm going to have to look at mid day exercise breaks to boost the metabolism, as I think I've hit a plateau.

I'm really working hard on this. I really have to keep a grip while studying. Food and study just seem to go together. Good thing I like carrots.

You all are being great! Super big thank yous.

I should have a good break before dinner tonight. I threw it in the crock pot to get some more evening/ and if I have my way, exercise time.

Trying to stay focused.

I'm trying to stay on track but the scale has been budging upwards in small increments.

Week 1 160 (Hurray, 1st goal!)
Week 2 160.3 not bad
Week 3 160.8 wrong direction

Is this maintenance or do I need to add more exercise? I have done my twice a week cardio & weights. I even walked for 20 minutes during lunch yesterday. I want to get below the 160 mark and keep moving down.

Congratulations Pink

Punky, I suggest the first thing you do when you get up in the morning is 15 min. of cardio and right before going to bed 15 min. of cardio.
Yesterday I went all day with not being able to take time for my walking DVD but I didn't want to miss a day of not getting it in so, after everyone else went to bed I stayed up and did 2 miles of my walking DVD and it didn't keep me from falling a sleep at all. This morning I was determined not to let the same thing happen again so I did my DVD immediately upon getting out of bed.

Have not weighed in for two weeks but wow! Today I am very close to my goal...as a matter of fact 137 was my original goal but I wanted to hit 135 to have some "wiggle room" so to speak.

137 on May 19....total of 13 pounds.

Punky,

You can do it!! Fit in small spurts of exercise - take a ten-minute break and jog in place for a few minutes.

I've really been planning to make the magic 150 for my niece's wedding June 10th. I know I've still got a shot at it. The food is on track, but due to studying for my Teacher Excellence exam I'm really sedentary right now.

Any encouraging words?

Hi My name is Amanda and I am from the UK.

I started SP on May 3rd (well 4th was my first full day!) and I am loving it. I was googling for a calorie counter and up came SP :)

My aim is to weigh 154lbs by News Year Day 2010 but for now I am thinking more 168lbs.

May 3rd = 190lbs
May 11th = 185lbs
May 18th = 183lbs

Sorry guys.. I hate to brag!! But I am patting my self on the back.... I am halfway to my goal..

I just weighed myself and the magic number is 135!!! WOOHOO.... I have lost 10 pounds... I even gave myself a bronze MEDAL LOL And now I have only 10 pounds to go..
I have really worked hard. I have not cheated at all(not even on mothers day and my daughter's birthday). I have been eating right, exercising and I have been drinking all of my water. The only thing I have not given up is my morning coffee..
SP has made all of this so easy!! I am proud to be a member of SP
