I would always eat when I got home at 5:00 p.m. I could not cure this habit. So, I just started planning on eating at 5:00 p.m. It works so much better for me. Follow your natural rhythms.

I don't,but that's because I'm always eating SOMETHING, every 3 hours. This method prevents any of those "afternoon munchies" to take hold. emoticon

4:00 is when I plan for a snack. I usually go for 1/2 and apple with some peanut butter. I plan for the calories so I don't go over. If I don't have a snack then, I am more likely to pick while I'm cooking dinner! It works for me. I try to eat every 3 - 4 hours all day long. emoticon

That's the worst time of day for me lately. Ditto about staying hydrated. I've also started eating a yogurt at that time of day and it seems to do the trick.

Oh boy, can I relate!!! I'm assuming your within your calorie range and not REALLY hungry! If so, try chewing gum while prepping your meal, might keep you from "munching". Or lay out a bowl of celery/carrot slices, at least that way your "munching" on something good for you and low in cals. Or a nice tall glass of H2O, right there within easy reach! I find if I can stay busy, out of the kitchen, it's just "boredom munching", and it passes.

Lots of luck,
LeAnn

Does anybody have a problem with the 4 o'clock munchies?!?! You know, the time of the day when you first get home from work, trying to get supper started, pick up the house, tryin to work in your exercise, putting in a load of laundry, etc, and you find yourself hungry? I would love to get some ideas on the best way to get through this time of day. Its killer for me! Suggestions anyone?
