Certainly can relate. My last 10 has just stayed there and refuses to budge. I keep on losing and gaining 5 more! Usually a really strenuous exercise program works but i don't have the time to commit to that right now.Aging doesn't help.
Soldiering on and taking one day at a time.

I agree, I often tell myself "Oh, you did so well with breakfast and lunch a little of ABCDEF before dinner won't ruin anything" then find by the end of the week that those little cheats can amount to alot. I try to remember how good I feel the next morning when the day before went really well! emoticon

I agree....the last 10 lbs have been really hard to lose. For me, I get just plain old tired of watching everything that goes in my mouth, and I often engage in little "cheats" that add up

I can relate to this too! I've done Weight Watcher's now for 6 weeks and have 'watched' the same pounds be lost and gained over and over. That's why I've joined this group. I encouraged that I'm not alone. Now ... how do we move forward? emoticon

Boy, can I EVER relate to this!!!

I have lost 8 of the 10 so far, and for the last month, I have been gaining and losing the same 1 pound over and over again. It is SO DISHEARTENING!

I have been exercising so much to try to get beyond this point that the website actually asked me whether I'd adjusted my caloric intake to make up for the exercise!!!

So WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE??

I lost the last 10 pounds. It took forever. When I tried to maintain,I gained it back. It seems as if I gained it back in no time flat. But it took 6-8 months to lose it. So, here I go again. emoticon

Our body is happy with that extra 10 pounds in case of famine. It doesn't care that we don't like it.

I think I've been gaining and losing the same 10 pounds for over 20 years.

I hear you people- don't get me wrong - I don't mind only having 10 pounds left - I have already shed 55!
I have hit so many blocks lately - but I guess if I'm not gaining - I will be ever so happy!

Oh yeah! I only ever have between 5 and 10 pounds to lose, depending on how many I've let creep back on. I can usually get the first 3 or 4 very quickly, but the rest are so tough. I think our bodies go into famine fear and try to hang on so we don't starve to death. Ha, I need my body to listen to ME - I'm not starving to death.........

Yep! I hear you! I've been hanging about half way for several weeks. I'll just keep working out and eating healthy, watching my trackers!

Yes! Or what is it about those last five pounds that are so elusive! (See my ticker!) It's been stuck there for what seems to be an eternity! Glad you joined us!

Why does it seem like some people can loose 100 lbs before others can loose only 10? Seems like our bodies want to hang on to that 10 when that is all you have to loose. Can anyone else relate? emoticon emoticon Edited by: MARMAR43 at: 3/4/2010 (21:05)
