I've got a feeling I can't even get it here, and if I could it would be out of this world $$$. Regular yogurt is double the price of in the Mainland.

Stevia, great choice! I've been using agave nectar since I've been here in Guam and like it a lot.

I may have to wait till I get back to the Mainland to try the Greek yogurt.

Deb, the Greek yogurt I buy is unsweetened. I had a dilemma with how much to sweeten it (some people just do fruit, not enough for me). I've become a bit leery of artificial sweeteners, even Splenda because it is processed. I didn't want the calories of honey, so I settled on one of the products that uses Stevia. It's 100% plant based, and in fact as a Master Gardener, we used to use it at the botanical garden long before it was marketed. One thing about Greek yogurt that threw me is that it's really expensive, far more than most yogurt. I'm a frugal New Englander but I think it's worth it.

I've never eaten Greek yogurt, will have to try it. I love regular yogurt, but I have kind of become a yogurt connoisseur and there are very few brands I really enjoy. emoticon

For me it's yogurt. I eat Greek yogurt everyday because it's really a super food (low cal/high protein) but I'd never chose to just because.

And I won't touch fish (except shellfish). I swear I was traumatized by watching my grandmother eat it like they did in the "old country" (will spare the details). Keep your omegas! I'll eat walnuts and flax seed instead.

I won't eat foods that I don't like. I didn't like brussel sprouts, but I found a recipe where they aren't that bad. I will prepare them that way and eat them only when in season. I may not be a huge fan of certain foods, but sometimes you can prepare them in a tasty way.

I'm not the fondest of cauliflower, but I will willingly eat it at a buffet because it IS good for me; if there is more variety of veggies though, sometimes I will skip it!

I see I'm not alone in my feelings about tomatoes.

My tastes have changed over the years too, mostly for the good.

I wish I liked tomatoes more. I'll eat them cooked any time, but when it comes to raw, very minimal. They do NOT taste like they smell fresh off the vine! I can eat yellow tomatoes though. I guess they are not as acidic?

When I buy them lately, I buy the vine ripened ones as they do taste much differently to me than hot house tomatoes.

I do not eat things I do not like, but I do try everything at least two times. My tastes have changed over the years and it amazes me things I like now that I hated when I was young. Always try new things!

Fortunately, there isn't many foods I don't like. (maybe that's unfortunate!!!LOL) So eating something I don't like just because it's healthy doesn't happen! I will not drink white milk - BLAH! I tried to force myself (years ago) when I was pregnant - NOPE, gotta have the chocolate added.

Fortunately I like enough of a variety of foods, but I don't eat beef, lamb, pork, or veal. I try to take a multivitamin designed for eye health. So eating food just because it's good for you really isn't an issue for me.

However, I totally understand your issue with raw tomatoes. The only way I'll eat raw tomatoes is 1. if it's a large tomato it has to be diced and have the seeds and "goop" removed. And then I'll eat them pretty much in salads only. 2. If they are grape tomatoes, I slice them in half. I don't like that popping sound.

So yeah, I eat tomatoes, I'm just picky about how I eat them.

I am not a fan of eating stuff that I don't like. I's only over the past 6 years that I've expanded my eating horizons to include fish, seafood, and lots of different veggies.

I was thinking that I eat raw tomatoes only because they are good for me. I don't especially like them. Homegrown tomatoes are a different story, and I'll eat any tomato if it's sliced thin, like on a sandwich or diced up small. I guess it's really whole cherry or grape tomatoes that I have a real problem with.

Anybody else eat something healthy just because it is healthy, not because you like it?
