Weigh in day is Monday and I wish I didn't weigh in today because I am up 4.4 - how does one do that in just a week I ask? I wasn't bad - Not a happy camper but I am not going to quit...that's what I usually do but not this time.

I like having Mondays as my weigh in day since that has helped me in the past being better on the weekends.
Forgot yesterday, but about 200 this morning (in pajama) this morning.
So my goal for next Monday is at least down to 198

I don't like to weigh myself too much or even every week. I feel that if and when the number doesn't go down then I am so concentrated on that number that I fail to pay attention to much else. So to that effect I weigh myself once a month at the same time that I measure myself. Losing weight is not all about a number on the scale but the inches a person loses. Cause after the scale only shows a number. The true weight lose is how your clothes fit and how you feel.

Have a wonderful day. If nothing else, do something for yourself and keep it positive.

Mondays are my weigh in days. I was at 191.5. My starting weight as of September 1, 2014 was 200 lbs. Getting there, but the last 2 weeks I have gone back up 3.5 lbs. I'm in a weightloss challenge group here and really need to get my butt in gear!

Well I was 150 on monday and I've figured out my scale and my wii are both weighing me wrong. I'm normally a daily weigher. And since my scales are all broke I've decided to change to just weekly weighing its making me be more mindful (and I've challenged my self to a 7 streak challenge).
I used my dumbbells to check both of them starting with 16 pounds in said more than 16, then I added more, and the more I put on the more off it would be.
I have been wearing some old size 14 jeans with a belt. the other day I needed jeans and mine were dirty so dug out some new old 10s. I've had them awhile but only wore them a few times. And they fit and i still needed the belt. I can't wait to see how many inches I shed in a week of streaking adding a new challenge every day.

178.8 and sitting. I know that I went up 2 lb. but then mother nature came and visited. So I'm back down to 178.8. I think I am going to do Zumba today once we get back from hubby's appointment. I did my squats yesterday and the day before.

174 lbs today. Seems like I didn't lose any weight since last week and instead gain one pound.
I'm not concerned about it. I started walking every day since last wednesday, I am tracking my calories daily. I am not drinking as much water this week, I need to get back to at least 8 glasses per day. This is a battle I'm not failing. Re-evaluate, re-group, attack!

166.8 pounds, down 4.2 pounds from last week and down 2 pounds since July 30th. Only 3.8 more to go to reach 5 pounds down for August. I don't have any bachelorette parties, BBQs, or other wedding activities until September 7th, so I can totally do this!

After having no progress to document for the August 5 lbs Challenge weekly weigh in, I weighed again the day after and saw that I was down 1.2 lbs! I am happy and hope to add this and more to the weigh in at the end of the week.

I don't recall if I've ever posted on this forum before. I've lost almost 50 lbs by counting calories and adapting an active lifestyle but was at a plateau for over 6 months. I finally have decided to switch gears and start watching carbs. This is a total re-education and completely different style of eating so I figure it HAS to have an affect! I started last Saturday and have already lost 3 lbs. I'm impressed since I didn't start fm eating fast food and sitting on the couch so that says to me that maybe it's working! It's even approaching shark week and normally my weight would be going up instead of down. This morning, I weighed in at 202.3. I've officially dipped below obesity into "overweight" and have my fingers crossed that I will finally be back under 200lbs for the first time in over 7 years! My goal is 155. I'm 5'10". I can do this!

I have only lost .4 pounds. Even though I have been disappointed with my weight loss, I have to say I'm proud of myself. For one, I continue to workout and watch what I eat. Even though I don't see much change on the scale, I'm Learning to love myself emoticon

I missed the beginning of the week weight in. Down another 3 lbs last week. My beginning weight last week was 194.8 lbs and my weight today is 191.4 lbs. Yay for success!

This is my first weekly weigh in. I am down 3 lbs this week. I added working out to my better eating habits and the wraps I have been using. I'm starting out slow, going to the gym only 2 days a week, but I have also been trying to do "Just Dance" with the kids some evenings. That is definitely a work out! But fun!

This is the first time I'm posting on this group. I went up in weight from the time I joined to when I started changing my lifestyle ways. Sugar is evil! It puts more weight on me quicker than anything. I've cut out sugar and dairy and processed food. I'm down 14 lbs in 4 1/2 weeks! So, now I have 47 lbs to lose to get to my weight BD (Before Dylan (my 3-year-old son)).

I forgot to add I'm down 1.4 pounds.
AND! If I stay on this track, with both my weight and measurement losses (7.4 pounds and 1 inch off my waist in 5 weeks!), then I should be at my minigoal size and weight by my September 21st wedding!

@Eatrice20 - focus on the inches, not the scale. The inches lost means you're on the right track!

I went up 2 pounds (175.6) this past week and a little on the inches (on the butt, and happily not on the waist!), but I ate a lot of bad things, drank a lot of water, and hiked a mountain this past weekend, so I can see the change in routine throwing things off a little bit.

I did lose weight over all for the month of June and there's always July!

I lost 2.6 lbs this past week! I was retaining water at last weigh in and finally lost that, plus some. That makes 6lbs for the month and almost 7lbs total! Woohoo!

Hi So I'm about the same weight as 1 wk ago, I know I fluctuate a couple lbs each day, but as long as I know I'm going down I'm good. I started on June 16 so about 2 weeks ago doing 5 days per week 30-40 min exercises - 40 if I get my 10 min. dog walk in, was raining too many days this week so as long as I'm not creeping up in weight I feel I'm doing good. Yesterday I somehow at too many carbs - I looked and they were from healthy snacks so I made it a point to do exercises after all that so then I already have my 5 days done and if I feel I need to tonite I will do more exercise otherwise the day off.

Usually if I know I'm going out to eat I will eat less calorie foods as I know restaurants have a lot of calories. When I'm busy it helps stay away from food as if it isn't my exercise day I'm more hungry if I just sit and relax. Take it one day at a time.

Mini goal weight hoping by end July 150 lbs, but if not then begin Aug. I haven't been this weight for 6 years so that will be good accomplishment.

i did the gastric in 2012 went from 330 to 185 and was stuck for a year. i know i need lean meets and to eat constantly cause my stomach is small. but because of the surgery certain things are hard to eat. i did cheerios with almond milk this morning. and a huge salad with meats garbazo beans sweet peas and grapes for lunch maybe smart choice pasta for dinner or a roast with potatoes in small portion.

I get my carbs from fruit or fruit juice. I was having some issues with this as well, because I've cut a lot of bread and other carby gluten free products out that are just too darn expensive and empty cals.

I'm weighing daily again (yeah yeah shame on me), but now I'm down to 172.8! 4.2 this month and 5.2 since I started. I think I've finally got this thing figured out! I really do think taking my vitamins daily is helping a ton in all departments.

Thanks Eatrice20! I don't really know how to help you since most of my carb reports are either on the money or high. I generally have cheerios with fruit or oatmeal with raisins for breakfast and a sandwich made with !00% whole wheat bread for lunch and that puts me where I should be for the day for carbs.

Hi everyone,

So this is my first weigh in on SparkPeople. I started this journey almost a year ago(July 07, 2013), at 250 lbs, but just found sparkpeople last week. As of yesterday I am at 172. I am 5'4 and would like to get to somewhere around 138 - 140.

Just joined (just had a baby 4 months ago) and very frustrated as for months now my weight fluctuates by at least 3-4 pounds a week. I can finally wear size 12 pants again, but would like to actually not weight 180 pounds!

So I just started back exercising again as of Monday - I know my weight always fluctuates within 2 lbs. Started about 165-166 and I am now down to 164 so lost a little in a few days. I'm hoping to lose 2 lbs per week if I can eventually get that but would be happy if at least always losing 1 lb - don't like it when I see scale go up. So I'm 5'4 and I want to reach 130 lbs - my college weight with a flat tummy again. - Ultimate goal

I am 180lbs 5'6, would ideally like to be at 140lbs. I lost 1 lb in the last week. Feels good but its so hard to control my sweet cravings! LOL

I started at 174, too. You are doing so great! I am at 167 today. Now the key is keeping it off. I have been up and down for over 10 years. I am a mother of 2. My goal is 140 or less by December. Do you have any advice? =)

I'm 5"9' & 169.8 lbs, it just seems when I get down to 160 I bounce right back up to 170 or higher.

WOOHOO I have lost 20lbs since January I cant believe it iam so excited. Plus 4.5 inches just last month alone. I cant wait to see how I keep progressing.

I have been doing the 5lbs a month challenges and those have really help to not try an completely unreasonable number of pounds for month. I think sometimes we go to big and set ourselves up for disappointment. But 5lbs is very reasonable and healthy amount to go for. I love the challenges, I havent really focused on my big main goal in months just the now goal which is getting me closer to the big goal:)
