My goal for the rest of July is to think through my meals every day. I tend to get in a hurry and end up picking bad choices out of convenience. But, I think if I can start to train myself to think differently about every meal then I'll make better choices. For example, how will this make me feel later in the day?

My monthly goal for May is to work out everyday for the whole month. I want to eat better and cut down on eating out. I want to make it my goal only go out once this month or none.

Soooo, I was here years ago, and was not very successful long term(inconsistency). However, I am back with a brand new profile, because I wanted to zero out all my sparkpoints(10,000+) and start fresh. I am going to try to be much more vocal and supportive because I seriously need that back.

My first monthly goal: Stick with my challenges until the end

I have joined both "The 21-Day New Member Challenge" and "The Walk This Way Challenge". My goal is to stick with both of them all the way to the end. I chose these challenges because they are slow small changes to ease me into this lifestyle change and help me built habits of checking in everyday and paying attention to the choices i'm making. I am determined to change my life and that starts with successfully completing these challenges.

So, I'm a little late for the "Goals for April" post, but I have been actively exercising since April 1st. I looked back to find my previous posts, (which were sad.. January, and then before that August of 2015). My January post did not have a weight, but my August 2015 post did. I was 214. What am I now? 221 (Started at 228 on April 1). That seems like I backtracked a lot - but the truth is, I haven't. Also in that post I was going on about how I wanted to fit into a size 14. Well, I have been sporadically lifting heavy weights, and exercising, and guess what? I've been in those size 14's comfortably for months. Even though on April 1st I was 14lbs more than I was in August of 2014.

Let this be a lesson to myself to stick with my weight training and cardio, and meal planning. It has clearly been working. Maybe if I stick to it consistently, I'll see the number on the scale go down as well :) But feeling pretty good, I must say.

GOALS:
Starting weight for April: 228.8
Current weight as of April 7: 221
Goal weight for April 30: 212

I want to continue on my currently schedule of lifting heavy Monday - Wednesday - Friday. On Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday I'll be doing C25K, and some light accessory work. And on Saturday and Sunday I'll be resting. Maybe the occasional outdoor hike, but so far those are my dedicated rest days. :)

There are some things that are up in the air in my life right now, so I can't make any serious goals until I know what's happening. But some of my goals are:

Eat three meals per day with NO skipping.

Eat my meals at more regular times, I'd like to try to establish a regular schedule.

More regularly meal plan with the plan being THE PLAN.

I essentially drink *no* water right now so I want to start by adding 20oz to my day.

I am also pretty much completely sedentary. I've begun grooving to music while I get ready for the day every morning, but I want to add 15 minutes of exercise that makes me sweat 3x per week minimum.

February Goals
*Continue to meal plan/cook for the work week
*Go to the gym after work 3x per week, and go on the weekend at least 2x this month
*Make some workout plans for the treadmill, elliptical, upright bike, and for post stretching

My goals for January:

Drink more water - 8 cups is obviously ideal but I barely drink any so even 4 cups could be good for me!
Start buying healthy snacks and phase out/throw out the bad ones. TEMPTATION IS HORRIBLE!!!
Find healthier recipes to incorporate into my dinner routines.
WORK OUT!!!! At least 3 times a week for starters. I make every excuse in the world not to!
DO NOT GIVE UP!!!

November Goals:

I'd like to be down to 221 by the end of November.

Mostly, I just want to stay committed to weight loss. I've started working out again after an ankle injury back in August which has led to a 10 pound weight gain. Excited to finally be able to work out again and feel healthier! I am so out of breath just doing stairs now. I also want to start doing yoga again, or as many yoga poses as I can tolerate with my ankle.

I'm trying to make meal replacement protein shakes to have during the day, and eating relatively healthy meals at night. I have a major sweet tooth so the struggle will be to cut back in that area!!

September goals
I would like to see myself below 300 pounds. I have seen 300 pound but then I gain back anywhere from 2- 4 pounds. I want to see 299. That is a 3 pound drop.

I also want to try to walk about 2-3 miles a day it a big goal but I think if I try it I will be able to do it.

Time for August Goals!!

So, my last post was made 7/8 -- so it's been about a solid month. My weight at that time was 222. Today I weighed in at 214.8! YEA! Progress!! I said in the post I wanted to get out of the 220's, and hopefully get down to 215. Goal achieved :) NOW, for new goals:

Starting weight: 214.8

I'd like to get down to at least 209. Any more than that would be huge. I'd ideally, like to get down 10lbs which would bring be around 204.. but, I don't want to go too hard too fast. 209 would get me to my 100lb lost goal!!! EEEE.

Also: I'd like to continue working out at least 4-5 days a week on lunch, and running after work 3 days a week. Plus, I'd like to do something "active" on the weekend at least one of the days.

I need to up my water intake because I'm not getting as much as I'd like. Enough, but not as much as I want to get.

I'd also like to get into a size 14. I'm RIGHT THERE! lol. Ugh, then I can steal pants from my friends lol, because I don't want to buy new pants yet :) But my current ones are so baggy, but I'm not quite in the new size yet. So close!

Wow, I haven't posted in here since May. I went away on vacation and then just went with the flow for a while getting back to normal. Then got hit with foot issues 7ish weeks ago (still ongoing) and shoulder blade pain that lasted over a week (barely returning to normal now), etc.

I'm ready to make some great goals for August though:

1st of all: continue resting my feet as needed, only indoor exercise or ones that are easy on my feet until they're normal

2nd: NO MORE NIBBLING aka impulse and emotional eating (for me anyway). I've been doing this too often lately and it's ridiculous. My plan of action for this is to possibly up my water intake from 12+ cups a day to 14-16 cups a day and to carry water with me when preparing food for other family members: my toddler nephews and disabled stepdad. That way I can drink water when feel the urge to nibble.

3rd: Give up calorie soda except 1-2 times a week, been allowing one a day for most of my journey and now feel ready to weed it out to occasional. I will be drinking diet coke for the first week or so, then water flavoring with caffeine so that I'm not giving up caffeine all at once. I get horrible migraines that don't go away easily when I don't ease out of caffeine intake.

4th: Keep my daily journaling streak going, it helps me have a more positive outlook along with blogging on here and reading my Bible.

5th: Keep focusing on what I CAN do, what is in my power to do. All those pain/injuries mentioned above have been getting me down but I've turned over a new leaf in a way, and am staying as positive as possible.

Lose 8 lbs
Continue to work on water intake. One small 300ml bottle with vitamins as soon as I wake up and three larger 600ml bottles throughout the day
Prepare workouts for my month on the road in Sept - practice exercises, prep music playlists/sync to workouts

It's the 8th and I haven't even posted my goals! I had surgery at the end of June, so I was finally cleared for exercise Monday.. and I'm ready to get back to it!

This month I'd like to get out of the 220's. I've been hovering there. I'm currently 222, and hopefully I'll be able to knock it out. Ideally, I'd like to get down to 215 by the end of July. :)

I also want to pack my lunch every day, and get in a brief lunchtime workout at work.

Well I came nowhere close to hitting my water goal last month, but I did complete the others:)

July Goals
Drink a minimum of 3 x 20oz water bottles per day. I plan to keep it filled at my bedside so I drink one first thing in the morning.
Complete the 5k walk/jog I have been training for!
Take my vitamins daily. I also plan to keep these at my bedside and take them first thing.
Lose 8lbs

I am glad I just saw this, since it's about 23 minutes into July (in my time zone).
Aubrey's July goals are:

* Cut down to one diet soda a week. (& eventually cut them out completely)
* Half-hour strength training 3-4 days a week.
* Try to get back to journaling,especially re: depression. (1 paragraph entry/day sounds good).

June goals:

Lose 10lbs (since there are 5 Mondays this month)
Complete my first 5k (walk only on fathers day....the 5k I am training for is in July but this one will be a good trial for the distance)
Hit my water/fluid goal ever day. My water goal will be the basic 8 cups/day (2L) and my fluid goal will be 3.6L (0.5 oz per lb of weight). I have been really struggling with this one so a month of consistency will be an accomplishment!


Also, sounds fun speakingout! You are definitely worthy, with or without a relationship!

I kinda, sorta, maybe, had a date last weekend, and it felt good. even with me at my weight he still wanted to go to the movies and I felt worthy for the first time in a long time.

My goal is to start feeling worthy of happiness, and to feel good. And to also want to sweat like hell at the gym at least 4 times a week. :)

Right now I am really struggling to put any action at all into my plan so I think for the next 2 weeks my goal is gonna be to walk Everyday for at least 30minutes at 6:30pm.
