I usually see a difference in a month or so. Things start getting easier and you start to feel the rush of adrenaline more.

Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably; and never regret anything that made you smile.

Happiness is not a destination, but a way of life

I have a similar story... I have been doing Zumba for 10 months. At first, I had to do a dance stop dance more stop etc. After going four times I could make it through the whole thing with modifications. There's a lot of movement that I call butt popping that works on your abs. At first I was like, I'm not gonna do that, but then I did it and now, maybe after three months, I can fell my abs getting stronger. Once the fat melts... I will have a feminine six pack

I was just telling a friend how I have been doing the Hip Hop Abs for the last two weeks. Being at this weight I know I have no abs BUT it keeps me moving and burning calories. Anyway...in two weeks I have went from 5 min. of the dvd and quitting to almost 30 today. I'm already noticing a difference!

So I decided, At the beginning of my journey, to keep a little journal. On my very first workout- though you could start anytime- I wrote down everything! I wrote down how I felt physically and emotionally, what I did, how hard it was, how long I did it for, etc. Then I came home and tucked it away. I just took a look at it the other day and oh my gosh I have come SO far in such a short amount of time! While my workouts still feel tough I realizxed how much more I am doing now! I tucked it back away and will look at it again when I need the extra boost of motivation!

You will soon see a difference in your abilities. Remember to continually challenge yourself. If you are walking try walking a little faster or a little farther each week. Remember it should never be easy because you should be increasing the difficulty of what you are doing. But you should start noticing a change soon. You have only been consistant for 2 weeks, keep it up, consistancy is the key!!

Good Luck!

I noticed a different within a month concerning my cardiovascular fitness. I was doing interval running training and I was increasing my running time each week, with success. I noticed that I have to work harder to raise my HR.

Regarding strength training, same thing. I was increasing weights by five pound increments in a few (maybe 3?) weeks.

I've only lost about 12 pounds thus far so I'm not seeing it so much on my body. My butt is flatter. :P

I know this is extremely dependent on many variables, but how long until you've started noticing that you're more fit and the workouts are getting easier? Of course it depends on beginning fitness and what kind of workout you're doing, but I was having a really hard time getting into my workout tonight and just wondered what it's been like for everyone else. I'm only in week two of consistently exercising, so I'm not expecting miracles; just curious.

As a side note, part of this was sparked by my tedious trek across campus; uphill, in the heat of the day. I can't wait until that walk is a breeze!!!!
