I don't see why you shouldn't be able to have soda as long as it is in moderation. Make sure you're counting those calories and allowing for them in your SP diet. Start by cutting down to 1 soda a day and then cut it down to one every other day. Indulgences are perfectly okay in any diet as long as they are in moderation. If you have a craving for something like a soda and keep trying to find something else to satisfy it, you'll probably end up eating/drinking small amounts of lots of different things but nothing cuts it. And before you know it, you should've just had that soda, cookie, whatever because now you've taken in more calories than you would have if you had just had your indulgence and then moved on in the first place.

yah ive tried all that. I quit it once for 3 weeks.... i was not a very nice person. the funny thing is i hate any other type of soda... and i cant stand diet soda... and i drink a lot of water... idk i just love coke.... its hard i havent had any yesterday which im proud of! but i had 2 sips this morning.............im gonna try really hard not to have any more today.... im taking it day by day.
Ive improved a lot, i went from drinking 4 cans a day to having 2 sips? pretty good. baby steps!!!

Start by changing the kind of soda you drink. Go to diet then to diet caffeine free. at the same time, start drinking more water.

Maybe you could try going to diet soda, then to one of the coke zeros, and (if you like it) seltzer water with lemon/lime. Then you should be able to ween yourself off of it. emoticon
My favorite is Cherry Coke Zero. Doesn't taste like a diet drink and I can get my bubble fix when I need it.

whatever you do, don't but it when you go grocery shopping!! i got out of the habit by just not buying it and having it in my house. i also stopped buying "value meals" that come with a soda (like at subway). and i always carry a water bottle with me, so i don't have an excuse. it was really easy for me though because i don't think i have an addiction to caffeine.
