I've been having this problem a lot lately. I've also been fighting a cold and have no appetite. Now my husband is worried about me losing weight because I totally dropped Wednesday after only consuming 800 calories and burning 200 working out.

What are some good calorie foods? It seems like everything I know is either high calorie/high fat or low calorie/low fat.

I wanted to say thanks to all you for posting answers to questions, it really helps when we all help one another. So here's my question, my calories allowed for the day are between 1200-1500. My question is should my calorie intake be somewhere in the middle, or should I stay at 1200? Just want to make sure I am doing this the right way. Thanks everyone.

You could get to 1200 by adding 75 calories at breakfast & a 75 calorie snack (or 75 to your lunch or dinner) Eating more in the morning is a good start to your day, too. You can still eat "perfectly" but trust me, going below 1200 consistently is a BAD idea and will come back to haunt your poor metabolism later on!

Sometimes I have trouble reaching my calories for the day as well, I think for the same reason as you....I want to eat "perfectly" and not go over, so sometimes I end up under.
One of the things that helps me, is eating about 5 meals a day: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks. The other thing I do to be in my calorie limit, is I often have a protein shake for a snack. The shake I have has about 150 calories, 35 grams of protein, 0.3 grams of fat, and 1 gram of carbs. I find this helpful to reach both my protein limit and calorie limit.
I hope this helps!

Does anyone else have trouble getting UP TO their calories for the day? I think I get in this "healthy eating" mentality where I want to eat "perfectly" and I frequently end the day at 1050 calories and I'm full/done for the day. It feels counter productive to me to go and eat something that's not great for me just to fill up that number. Any suggestions? I want to do this right.
