I was able to grab some outside runs and I have a good collection of baselayers so I can stay cozy while running. Yesterday I ran 7.4 miles and it was so awesome outside with clear streets. Not any more though. I don't run on snow so back to the treadmill I go!

How have you been keeping active and warm during these rough winter months?

It looks live we've got another system heading our way! Unless you're luckily enough to relocate somewhere warmer for the winter, you've probably had to deal with trying to keep up your fitness activity of choice while being snowed-in or feeling too cold to go outside.

Personally, I can't stand being on the treadmill longer than about 30 minutes, so I've been using SP's cardio videos and FitTV to keep me active, and trying to get a run in outside when the weather's decent (ie above freezing and not windy). I also try to do regular strength training with some basic equipment I have at home. And, of course, shoveling snow burns calories and works your muscles!
