Kick in the pants? Well let me just say this. Humans are known to semi hibernate in the winter. The body is supposed to gather fat in the fall to see us through the winter from the prehistoric times. To save our lives. After all these years our bodies still do this. As far as I am concerned, during the winter, as long as you aren't gaining.. thats good. Come spring the body is used to shedding the fall gain since its not needed to preserve your life. Most people gain energy in the spring as life returns and winter fades. That will increase your calorie burning.
If you feel the need to stay in during the extremes. Well.. I say go for it. My lung Doc says the cold air below 50 degrees is hard on the heart and the lungs. If you go out and walk/jog make sure you cover your mouth to protect your heart and lungs.
If you stairs in your house go up and down. That will burn calories even if its not as much as running, or working it will decrease your calorie intake.

Don't know how i could give the kick in the
pants but come on girl!! you can do it
with whatever get ya of moving in the
right direction. This winter i'm sure
has taken too many prisoners and time
to fight back with all the gusto we can
handle, right? Right so step-up those
walks between the snowflakes, eat those
salads and things will get better.

I really need a kick in the pants. I have been stuck again at the same weight since 12/15. I am getting back into my walking and my water aerobics so hopefully things will start moving in the right direction soon.

I havent been to the gym for about a month. all the newbies from new years has taken over the equipment. It actually ruined it for me and I can't wait until most of them go away!!!! Then I will be back on spark and back on track.

Don't look back, you're not going that way.

Okay girls let's hear how things are going with
you these days. What's happening? Starting
any new resolutions or trying harder to do
a step up on a old one? I'm working at the
nerve to go to the Zumba dance class at the
Y, if when they start on a day that i can
make it! Hear it's great fun.
