Beyond my regular goals I desided to focus on eating more vegetables in January. I am not going to worry about organic vs nonorganic (that is for another month) but rather seek to try some new vegetables and recipes each week and put more vegetables on the table for dinner. Since it is winter I will be using alot of flash frozen veggies, roots and squashes.

I hope to involve my kids as much as I can. My older 3 eat healthy food and will try new things with an open mind but my 8 year old. Ugh! She has always been picky and I thought that she would grow out of it. I am going think of some strategies to get her involved and capitalize on the veggies I know that she likes.

There are other goals that are more pressings (such as my morning routine) but this goal seemed fun to start out the year.

Some of my goals for 2015-

Since I am working part time now whatever little money we have left over apply to our debts. Start paying off and trying to get rid of at least 2 debts by the end of the year

Focus more on the Lord and His Word. Lately I have let everything else take first place. The Lord needs to be first place all the time. Read the whole Bible with my kids this year.

Enjoy life! Have some kind of fun adventure with my family.

Deuteronony 6:5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

I have only been formulating my goals, but have some nailed down.

Spiritually - to learn to love my DH as the description in the Bible in Titus 2, and to be able to teach other women to do the same.
Read through the Bible at least once. I did it twice this year.
Memorize 2 Peter and possibly another book of the Bible. (I did James this year)
Work on a prayer journal.

Home schooling - I am going to be, Lord willing, graduating this year after homeschooling for over 25 years. My baby is a senior.

Physically - I want to do at least one race this year - probably 5 or 10K
I want to lose 40 pounds - and to be eating whole foods 90% of the time.

Get rid of another 365 things. I have done this a couple years now and it is becoming harder in some ways, but easier as the kids leave home as I don't need as many things with fewer people in the house.

In CHRIST I can!

Health wise I looking to lose what I want to lose by my birthday in late June. It's an achievable goal if I do the work. I have a general plan but still need to workout the details.

I haven't really given much thought to any other goals.

Have any of you been thinking about goals for this coming new year?

I like to prayerfully pick a word to come back to during the year. 2013 was peace, 2014 was intentionality and this year I am choosing kindness.

For health goals I am going to continue following Trim Healthy Mamma and exercising 30 minutes a day (3 days strength training). Beyond that I am going to choose 1 thing per month to tackle. I have so many ideas for each month that I haven't decided what to choose for January yet!

I'd love to hear what you have been thinking about for 2015.
