Oh boy JS, I was once in your position with a baby on the way and one graduating. My first born graduated high school months after my last born arrived. I wasn't homeschooling at the time, just supplementing. So I'm sure the emotions are running high. It's okay if you become a puddle from time to time. emoticon It's a good reason; you've both done well. emoticon

I agree with the mixed emotions. As I was preparing for this year, entering the names in my record book, I realized it would be the last year to enter our oldest son's name. I had to pause, and with my raging hormones, I'm really surprised I didn't end up a puddle of mess. On the other hand, it is exciting to listen to him, as he makes his plans for next year and the years that follow.

Congratulations~

My ds is in fourth grade this year. Last year I kept thinking he was already in 4th grade, but for some reason this year it has surprised me. LOL

I will be looking for help from ladies such as yourselves for guidance and suggestions when my ds is starting high school. =)

Have a LOVELY year!

I thought I loved homeschooling my kids when they were little, but homeschooling them through the high school years was/is just a precious.....like you said....seeing all the hard work come to fruit!!! So rewarding!!

Our dd is now a senior in college and we still have a 15.5 yo son I am homeschooling-his sophomore year. Working myself out of job has never been so rewarding!!!

Blessings,
Heidi

I can't believe we will be starting my DD senior year so soon! Where did 12 years of homeschooling go? I'm sad, & happy, at the same time. Sad because I miss the days of reading picture books on my lap, & excited because I am seeing the wonderful person she is becoming.

Stick with it (the homeschooling) ladies- quitting before high school is like plowing up the garden just before harvest.

Now if I could just stick with an exercise routine! LOL!
