Changing up my workout helped me! I added more running and it DID break my plateau! {went from running 1-2x/wk a mile each time to 3-4x/week,still doing a mile each workout.

Switching up my workouts seems to be the only way for me to break through a plateau! Also, I'm trying to be more diligent about getting more sleep. It sure can't hurt! emoticon

They say to change things up. Vary your calorie intake - like 1200 one day then 1500 the next. For me, I was on a plateau for 3 weeks and I knew that I was doing everything right and knew if I stayed the course, the weight would come off. It did!
Of course, my last plateau has lasted a year! But, that is because I haven't followed plan. So, back to being faithful to the plan.

In CHRIST I can!

How do YOU bust a Plateau??

TIP #1
Make sure you are following your SparkPeople nutrition plan correctly. During set-up, did you accurately account for your level of activity? Or, if you are more or less active than when you started the program, have you changed this option in your set-up so that your caloric plan will be accurate for you? This is very important so that you donít eat too little for your bodyís needs, which can actually hinder your weight loss.

In addition, are you accurately tracking your foods in the Food Tracker daily, yet not reaching the minimum number of calories that is recommended? Itís common to think that cutting MORE calories will result in faster weight loss, but thatís not actually the case. You should never consume less than 1200 calories per day. Eating less than this (or too little in general) makes your body think itís starving (known as ďstarvation modeĒ), so it holds onto every calorie, slowing your metabolism. Increase your calories to fit into your recommended range, and youíll notice a difference.
