In looking back over my goals for February, I did better than I thought! I worked out a LOT more, and I tracked food and exercise consistently. My biggest accomplishment for the month is I'm FINALLY getting more sleep at night (well, for the past week, anyway!) emoticon

My goals for March:
To release five pounds - which works out to about a pound each week. "Losing" them sounds like I want to find them again and believe me, once they're gone, I do NOT want them back!
To get better organized and decrease the amount of paper piles in my home. I'm working on a new filing system. By the end of March, I want my home in better shape, too!

(Though today, I look more like emoticon - at least on one side, anyway - after the dental visit left my jaw swollen with a lot of inflammation. TMJ isn't for sissies, LOL!)

I have to answer

Focusing on one thing at a time.

I tend to focus more on exercise or diet for awhile and sometimes slack a little on the other.
I also rarely consider things like stress reduction and getting enough sleep even though I know that both are required for a healthy lifestyle. I'm trying to better at keeping everything in balance.

I KWYM about breaking a sweat with the Wii Fit! I read that the Rhythym Parade is a great warm-up exercise, so I did it today before hitting the treadmill for an hour - then did another 35 minutes on the Wii. Wow! If all the extra exercise doesn't help me break through the plateau I'm on, I don't know what will!

Yay! I did it. I had 5 servings of vegetables today (at least) and one serving of fruit:

Breakfast: Veggie Egg Scramble w/2 cups spinach, 1/2 cup chopped red pepper, and 1/4 cup chopped onions.

Lunch: Roasted Butternut Squash soup and 1/2 cup blueberries

Dinner: Vegetable Beef Stew

Count me in as a Wii lover. We just got ours for Christmas. I'm really enjoying the "combine excercises" feature since I don't know exactly what it is going to throw at me - it has forced me to do some of the activities that I might not choose on my own. I've been combining for a 40 to 50 minute workout each day this week and it really does make me break a sweat and I have a great time.

I've been absent from Sparkpeople for quite a while and am looking to become more active. I've been faithfully tracking my food and exercise for a little over 2 weeks now and am just venturing into the spark teams again. It's good to be back!

I agree...The Wii Fit Plus has up's and down's...There are some games that are just ugh for me lol
But, the walking/jogging for 30 mins is just a great workout...Try hula hooping for more than a couple mins on each side LOL I did the 5 min one and WHEW LOL
Also, the free step for 30 mins is good!
YOGA/STRENGTH on it is great...Annette try the jacknife and see how your abs feel the next day LOL

MAMAMARYS4, have you tried the different activities/ games on the Wii Fit? There's a lot to choose from; maybe you didn't find the ones that "clicked" for you. OTOH, if you're doing the C25K, you probably don't need the motivation, LOL! Way to GO! emoticon

I did a.. shortly after waking this morning I did the first day of c25k.

I'm glad you both are enjoying the wii fit. I own the game, but rarely use it. I'm not sure why. I think it is a love or or hate it item, but am unsure

Okay, since I'm already doing A and B, I pick "C. Stretch after working out". Thanks for posting this challenge; I tend to forget this important part of the workout!

BTW, the Wii Fit Plus offers a MUCH better workout than I expected! I'm finding muscles I'd forgotten about. emoticon

emoticon I broke my personal record, with 472 calories burned today! emoticon (Gee, can you tell I'm a "little" excited? LOL!) We hooked up the new Wii Fit Plus and "broke it in" today. I had not one but TWO workouts today. Yay!!! Hoping to break this plateau!

I believe 25 mins of EA Active NFL training camp is on my plate tonight. If I remember tonight the menu will include, squats, alternating single leg squats and more squats (with jumps) *chuckle* maybe there will be some other exercises, but I remember that there are plenty of squats in every workout.

January was 615 fitness minutes, less than 2 lbs of loss, and trying as could be on my internal motivation and February WILL be over 700 fitness minutes, trying on my internal motivator, but better because I know I can always start over again (and have my family and God on my side).
