I am more a mustard lover so I swap it for mayo all the time when I can.

I like mayo as well - Hellman's is the brand I've used for many years - in order to reduce the amount I use in egg salad I add dijon mustard -- when I make Tuna salad - I use a can of Tuna and a can of Salmon - I add lemon juice, red wine vinegar and then less mayo - maybe a 1/2-1 tablespoon to the entire mix...

For Egg salad - use avocado - good fat...

I always buy a lite (low calorie) mayo. I only like a hint of it. I find too many people plaster their food with it, and it tends to overpower the other items on that sandwich or salad. It is like mayonnaise is the star of the dish and the rest is just to bulk it out a bit.

There is olive oil mayonnaise. I've never tried it, however. It would still be high fat. You can make your own but still high fat. Reduced fat dressing would be the lowest calories.

I love mayonnaise on all of my sandwiches. I tend to put it on heavily. I am trying to give it up , because I found out that too much of a seemingly good thing is bad for me.
