I got my triglycerides down from 420 to 120 in 28 days (no kidding!) by walking 30-minutes before breakfast and 30-minutes after dinner. I also monitored NET CARB intake to 100 per day. I refused to take meds and my doc told me my problem was hereditary too. He said lifestyle changes would not be enough. So much for that. I have been averaging 2,300 calories per pay and really only managing the CARBS (down) FIBER (up). My overall count has gone from 304 to 213 in the process. New set of labs (56 day) this week.

watch my diet....I am wondering if cinnamon will help bring it down. everything I've read said it helps lower blood sugar.

Good afternoon everyone,
I'm cusoccermom, new to this group. I have high cholesterol and high triglycerites.
My mom's doctor just told her to take cinnamon to help lower triglycerites as she is borderline diabetic. Don't know if it will work by am willing to try. Cinnamon pills aren't that expensive and for $7 I'm going to try.

Looking for some natural ways to lower my triglycerides. My PCP prescribed fenofibrate 120 mg. My co-pay for this is $2262.00 for a 90 day supply Needless to say I can't afford thisand am looking to do this in a cost effective way. My triglycerides are 255 not really high but are high for someone who has has a heart attack.
