I work full-time at my University as well as being a full-time Executive MBA student. I take a yoga class twice a week and it helps enormously! I have a locker there and can use the pool too, which I haven't taken as much advantage as I should.

It helps to have it so convenient.

When I was a student I used it regularly. I even had a locker. Its a great option economically and many campuses have great facilities. But now that I'm a prof, I find it very awkward to sweat with, not to mention shower with, students. I have gone a few times to play squash, but my regular workouts are off-campus now.

I have never once used the sports/fitness facilities at my university. When I was still taking classes I wasn't interested in fitness; and now that I am, I'm writing my diss off-campus and it's a total pain (30 min. drive, parking, etc.) to get there. It's a shame, really, as I pay those student fees every semester.

Hi All, I hope everyone is off to a good semester!

I'm wondering if you all take advantage of the sports facilities on your campus, or if you choose to work out away from where you work.

I do have a membership to my university's sports centers. It's the cheapest option in town (staff discount) and they offer an amazing array of options. Still, the downside is being surrounded mostly by exercisers 20 years younger than me, the worry of running into my students, and difficulty parking anywhere near the gym.

How about you?
