When I was 16 I wanted to be a professional belly dancer, but that didn't happen.

so because I'm unable to take formal classes, I try to study as much as I can to be the best that I can and to use as much resources as I can get my hands on.

I study via classes in the society for creative anachronism which is a living history organization I've been a part of for some time now. I don't aim to perform professionally so it's a good way for me to have some direction with little formality

Right now I'm still recovering from knee surgery. So ..... I'm just starting out with the DVD Belly Dance Basics with Leila Farid (awesome)

I plan on relearning some basics things with other dvds when my knees get better. I'm having to relearn everything over again.

What are you guys studying? Via online classes, dvds or local classes?
