Some really good yoga poses for this are:
bridge, butterfly, knees to chest (my hubby swears by this), and dancer. If you search these yoga postures, you'll get directions on how to do them properly.

There are specific exercises that I do when I have a tight back and hips, and they are:

Hip flexor stretches,
Hip stretches,
Gentle ab excersices,
The bridge pose
and end with
Back stretches (child pose)
Hold this exercises for about 20 seconds, do them every day.

you might be able to find video demos on spark.

Hi all,
Have any of you experienced for lack of better phraseology, tight hips? My hips have been extremely sore and I don't really have a good range of movement right now because of it? Anything I can do?
