Hi all! Way to go Phebess!

Poindextra, I had a small binge myself today. It was my work in the city day and they had a large halloween candy dish sitting on my desk. I mean, what choice did i have?!

emoticon

They were minis, I had three through the day so not as much damage as I could have done.

I came home to the Jessica Smith Zumba Dance Party workout, then did some upper and lower body combo exercises.

Big hugs Nell as you continue to get through this transition!

I'm with you Jamir, bring on the weekend! emoticon

Econlady, Bess, Jamir - I have all the books by Estelle Ryan on my kindle, and I think I can lend them out. The first was free, the others have been about the cost of a paperback. Definitely worth reading!

Went to PT with DH, and did 6 miles on the recumbent bike in 23 minutes - 3.8 minutes per mile, which is faster than I've done before, so I'm getting something out of this!!! (I started with a 4 minute mile, so yay!)

I have found laryngitis typically lasts 2-3 days. Also, donít even speak with a soft voice or whisper. It stresses your throat.

I must also confess that I had a mini candy binge at the conference today. One fun-size pack of Peanut M&Ms led to another.... So, even with eating a can of Progresso chicken soup for dinner, I'm 300 calories over today. We'll, now to bed to sleep it and the laryngitis off. Have a great evening, my friends!

Ugh! I felt better today than yesterday, but my voice completely conked out after lunch. I came home early and am nursing ginger lemon tea with honey. Progresso soup is heating on the stove, and kitty is in my lap. I'm supposed to go downtown again tomorrow. Will do if I'm able to talk. If not, I'll work from home. Oh well!

Good Morning

Again I walked 2.5 miles this morning. It was raining, so I carried my umbrella. I donated a box of Cub Scout stuff to a new leader. I used to do a lot of Scouting leadership. I'm not using it any more. She offered to pay for it. My pay is getting rid of it! lol

I am off to have xrays of my hip then have to take Dh to a few appointments. I am now officially the Uber driver for everything. This is going to be interesting when I have those six weeks when I cannot drive. Somehow, we will work that out....

Good morning!

Really glad to hear about the rain in Virginia. I heard we got 3 inches of rain at our lake. Meanwhile it is snowing off and on in Colorado. Nothing is impairing driving around Avon, where my son lives, but we are keeping track as we drive to Denver to fly on to Ohio tomorrow. the pass can be wicked.

Iím on puppy watch quite a bit and the little doll is getting to know me. I got a warm greeting yesterday and no nipping. Oh those baby teeth. She is smart though and adorable. Enjoying this time for so many reasons.

Nell, that move is one moving cheese, is it not? So close and then whoops, time for another plan.
Bess, eager to hear how your art classes are progressing.
Maree, fall is such a nice time to plan and prune and in your case, fell trees. When we get home we are doing some planting as well as some pruning.
Poindextra, enjoy your conference.
Phebess, I passed along your sanding tip to DIL. Meanwhile IĒm doing another coat of chalk paint on dresser today.
Donna and Bea, ditto what Maree said. Hang in!
Econ, hope all is good with you. Love your idea of thinking of things going well. Whenever we do anything there sure are usually ups and downs. At least in my life, lol. Smooth is ELUSIVE, lol.

Thinking of all of you. I have not been getting enough exercise. We did go to an amazing fish restaurant last night. This was fancy, but they took a whole fish and fileted part of it into sushi and grilled the rest. We shared all of this. It was quite an experience and great to get so much lean protein.

Good morning! Quiet work day for me - hearing tomorrow that I need to prep for, and some other loose ends to try to work on. I also had something dumped in my lap last minute, so I'm trying to work on that for Thursday.

Bess - That is a high tide, for sure. Hopefully, it recedes soon! We were pretty dry in October, but Nestor cured that.

Phebess - I had wondered if that was the author. I read a couple of her books in that series on your recommendation, but haven't finished it yet. Sounds like you had a great time!

Maree - You may be able to look online at your account as well. I loathe calling places like that - I worked briefly in a call center, so I used up all of my lifetime allotment of phone time then. emoticon

Nell - So frustrating that everything keeps changing, but you seem to have it under control. Hopefully everything goes smoothly from here on out.

Donna - From what I saw in ortho group PT, hips take a bit more recovery than knees, so once you get through that, smooth sailing.

Have a great day, all! (I just typed weekend - I wish!)

Maree - y'alls place is going to be so spiffed up, both inside and out, that it'll feel like a new home.
Phebess - thanks for the new author - I asked my library to get me that first book.
Poindextra - I hope you have fun downtown anyway - meet new people, get stimulated by new ideas. I always enjoyed conferences for that reason - and also for the break in routine
Bea, Donna - woo woo - countdown begins. When my mama finally got her hip replaced, way back in the 1970's - she exclaimed "I'd forgotten what it was like to live without pain!" I hope you two both feel the same way.
Jamirblaze - I don't think it was leftover from Nestor - what he left us was enormously high tides. Even at low tide the water was over our pier! I think we're just getting the rain that was hiding out somewhere else all August and September.
Econlady - hope the chiropractor got you in early - but most of all hope you are out of pain
Nell - prayers prayers prayers for a smooth transition for your mom AND for you
Toni - did y'all get snow?

Tuesday's are art class days and after class I'm meeting up with my sister for lunch. We're going to Panera's and I've already picked out my lunch and tracked it. Afterwards we'll hang out a bit, shop a little, till I have to get out of town ... 4 o'clock is my witching hour so I can miss any heavy traffic. Official weigh in is tonight. It won't be pretty - but TheBrains and I worked out a plan to fix that. Cheers to one and all.

Doesn't the whole yard look different with trees down?

I got a call yesterday afternoon from the movers. Seems that the place Mom is now will be having a scheduled property wide power outage next Wednesday, so all moves for that day are canceled. Arrrgggh!! It took a couple of hours on the phone, but we can do all of it a day earlier: now Mom move to respite on Monday and we move her in to her new apartment on Tuesday. At least my sister can come down on Sunday. Now to call newspapers and her home health care aide company to re-do termination dates. I had to reschedule DH's doc appt and my cleaners for here that were supposed to be Monday.

As far as cell service, they come up with new plans more often than WW, that's how I've gotten cheaper phone service whenever I call. They offer more services each time than I want, so the simpler one that I need is cheaper. It's the TV/internet stuff that gets more expensive each time because I DO want faster service. I have to sign up for a new 2 year obligation each time, but I can't see switching from Verizon, it's the best service around here.

This afternoon I take DH to the neurologist to read the MRI, we can hopefully find out what happened a month ago.

Good morning!

We had just enough rain yesterday morning to keep the tree removal guys from completing their work in the back yard. The tree with the largest circumference is down and cut into sections; it just needs to be loaded up and hauled away. And then they will trim down the remaining stump.

It sure looks different. Next step is to decide upon new trees and landscaping. For now, DH is looking forward to planting grass seed; without any shade, it should grow well.

Daily newspaper delivery and visits will surely be a big plus for your mother, Nell. How does your son like his job there?

Nov 19 -- Donna, the countdown begins. Hope is in sight. Bea and Donna, living in pain is exhausting, hang in there.

I'm starting a new audiobook--Kristin Hannah's "The Great Alone" as I travel to my out of town office today. I so enjoyed her Nightingale book, so I'm pretty excited about this one.

Thanks for mobile phone service tip Jamirblaze. I just dread making the call to see if a cheaper option exists--there goes an hour of my life. Is it worth it? I'll check around.

Time to dress for crossfit class; lunch is packed. Hope all have a wonderful Tuesday!
