Nell, that's scary about the passing out - I hope after you get your mother moved you can spend some time with your dr and find out what's going on.

And my birthday was way back in August - DH took me to dinner, but since we travel we don't really buy each other tangible things any more. But the Moleskine sketchbook would be a treat - they use really nice paper.

I got in 6 miles on the recumbent bike today after DH finished his bike work - the therapist had him doing a lot of upper body work today, which is good. He needs strengthening all over.

I also bought stainless steel straws for our travelling, and a backpack that rolls up into a tiny pouch - one of those things I often find myself wishing I had for day trips, when my usual carryon pack is a bit too big.

We're still waiting for the referral to the neurologist - I'm hoping that dr can do some evaluation on DH's cognitive functions. He often "remembers" things that I swear never happened - but then, my memory isn't what it once was either, so who knows.

Hi folks, I'm pacing the house (as usual:)) to get my minimum 10k in. No hope of 12k today with the MM group downtown and the longer / later drive home.

Nell, please do take care of yourself during this stressful time. I'm concerned about your fainting, too!
Donna, hooray for surgery approaching!
Bess, congrats on the commission. That moonlit walk sounds SO romantic!

The dietician this morning said that my diet is stellar. She thinks (as do I) that my issues are most likely medication-related, but gave me a few suggestions to experiment with. I'll see her again I'm a month to check in, and will keep track of how it goes.

Now it's time to wash up and get ready for bed. No Yoga since I overdid something and my back is aching. I'll call my PT tomorrow to schedule a tuneup.

Sleep well!

Good morning everyone!

Blood test came back mostly normal. My sodium is still slightly low. I'll be home most of the day with laundry and cleaning. I feel like so much to do, so little time to do it all!

Donna good luck with your surgery! Keep us informed!

My body loved yoga yesterday. Frequently my left arm was left out of the work. I wish this teacher taught yoga more than one day a week! Iím not ready for pilates. Next Iíll try walking in the warming pool at the gym.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning everyone.....

I am going to the hospital this morning for my pre admission clinic. Apparently I will also have lab tests and echocardiogram done. I am so ready for this surgery. It will be wonderful to be able to sleep through the night.

Loved reading all your posts......such a busy group!

Good morning. Quick one as I have to go downtown to observe a hearing.

Nell - I hope you're okay. So scary.

Toni - Yes, confusing these days. I went to check the mail, but then remembered that we wouldn't get a delivery. And yes, Indigenous Peoples Day is a movement that I can get behind.

Gotta think about running. Just came in to get my hours and check mail and such before I have to head out. Have a good one, all!

Good morning, friends.

Nell, Iím sure worried about you with all this on your mind and list. Moving is a lot of physical as well as emotional work. I am hoping you can pace yourself and get through it with the helpful hands that are not problematic.
Bess, really sorry to hear the weekend did not work out as you had hoped. That walk sounded restorative.
Phebess, glad your DH is recovered. All that confusion must be frightening.
Maree, yay for an Ďadminí day. Glad you. had it.
Kellie, safe travels with your movies all lined up!
Econ, you make me remember to do my yoga! Just ran off a sheet of Spark yoga moves.
Bea, you had quite the full day with all the prep.
Poindextra, you ARE busy, busy.
Donna, that surgery cannot come soon enough. Must be so frustrating not to be able to walk around. And Colorado is not to ski this time, at least I hope not. They have been getting a bit at night, but it is not staying around long. Thanksgiving will be another story.
NancyAnn, love hearing how you are enjoying your BF.
Jamir, those Monday holidays are confusing indeed. I like the idea of Indigenous People day. Most of yesterday we kept running into confusing things. Bank closed, school open? Whaaat? Small matters, but definitely not how it was when we were kids.
Today I finish packing. I threw stuff toward my suitcase yesterday and know I have one too many down jackets, even for a week in the mountains. This is an 11 day trip in two towns, but as my DH reminds me, our kids have a washer.

Hi all! quick check in before heading to the airport. I have a book and stuff downloaded on Netflix to help pass the time on my long flights.

Hope all medical and family issues ease up for all!

Nell - I'm pretty concerned about your blacking out too. You bear SUCH heavy loads with your mother and your DH, I wonder if you could ask your grown sons to help - it doesn't sound like your siblings are dependable enough. And most of all - I hope you don't forget to take care of yourself. Both thumb and blackouts are important. What does the Dr. want to do about those?
Maree - sweet to have a day to just catch up on personal paperwork. Right now I am only doing the graphite portraits, as my website states, but I am practicing with different forms of color - pencil, pastel, watercolor. When I am confident enough I'll offer them too. It IS nice to have some commission work.
Phebess - been wondering how you are doing too after the harrowing story about your DH's confusion. Hope you're okay
Bea - Sounds like you had a busy day
Poindextra - been channeling you this weekend, making sure to get my steps in!
Donna - how much longer will your guests be visiting?
Nancy Anne - did you score any fun purchases?
Econlady - hope gentle yoga felt good yesterday and you feel better today
Jamirblaze - now that I'm retired I am always surprised by the MOnday holidays - but boy I sure loved 'em when I worked
Kellie - safe journey - safe return
Toni - Can't wait to hear all about the bride and groom and granddog

Yesterday was weirder than Friday and that's about all I'm going to say. I'd been dreading and looking forward to this weekend at the same time. Just glad it's over now. DH and I took a glorious walk out to the mile point last night after dinner in the bright moonlight. It was magical and so clear that in spite of the almost full moon we could see Cassiopeia, most of Pegasus and Scorpios. I'm so lucky.

Good morning.

The cut on DH's arm from his fall is scabbing over, surprising with the blood thinners, but a good thing. He stayed in yesterday, today he'll go out for breakfast while the cleaners are here. My brother still hasn't called about Mom's move, I can't believe he isn't interested. He must know that Judith will be an issue, and wants to put it off as long as possible.

My thumb really hurts, but not to the touch so it isn't broken. The doc is more concerned with my passing out, I'm concerned about my thumb.

Good morning!

Goodness, Nell. Are you and your husband okay? Have doctor appointments soon? Maybe your other siblings can speak with your brother--spread out some of these responsibilities. You've done so much for your mother.

Bess, how nice the commissions are lining up! Will you use photographs and pencil again, or do your clients choose the medium? I'm so happy you're doing what you love now! Congratulations on making a dream come true at retirement!

I had a productive day in my office, but need many more. Just having to make calls about billing errors, redeeming Groupon purchases, rebate cards, filing ins claim with Vision coverage, some filing, shredding, bill pay blah blah blah. For FUN and exercise, DH and I bicycled the trail in the crisp sunshine. I made my turkey, sweet potato chili and some crispy zucchini slices -- olive oil drizzled, topped with mixture of parmesan cheese, panko crumbs, garlic salt and pepper. Bake 30 min 425. DH was impressed with my creation, since he got the night off from cooking !

Gotta scoot! Crossfit class, packing my lunch , staying in town as tree removal crew comes this morning.

Hope all have a great day!!
