Econlady, I had to go back to look at those cookies - love the Southwest theme, and that cow skull is so Georgia O'Keefe!!!! The jewelry looking pieces are amazing too!!!

Hope you get the animals to work for you!

We've been to Australia - we started our travels in New Zealand for 3 months, then Australia for 6 months. I was just thinking it's an easier place to get around than Morocco or Turkey or something.

So, I went mall walking today - DH opted out. He did go on a walk yesterday afternoon, and probably walked about a mile, or even 1.5 miles. Much of it uphill and then back downhill. I think he's still a bit sore today.

I managed to find a really nice dusty plum colored long-sleeved tee sort of top that will be great for travel - looks great with black slacks, and will layer well over all my tops. I'm always on the lookout for clothes that work in multiple ways for travel so I can pack less.

We'll see if I can get DH to do some mall walking this week.

Hi folks,
I'm at the eye doctor. Just got my dilation drops, so am sending this while I can still read! Am still waiting for my new glasses to come in. VSP gives good discounts, but it takes a lot longer. Oh well!

Have a great evening!

Good Morning

I walked this morning, then went to TOPS and walked again before the meeting. I gained half a pound. I actually feel better sitting, laying or walking with less pain. Walking around the house is not the same as out walking. But I can't do that all the time.

Maree the piano bench looks great.

Thanks for the compliments on the cookies. Last night I made the last of the sugar cookies for Sunday and the cookies I need to finish my competition cookies. For the competition Iím making a scene and last night I made 3 cookies from the leftover dough and Iíll make three versions to pick from. Itís time to finish my entry and move on. Tonight I have one last set of cookies to make for Sunday. They have to have munching cookies or there could be problems, so Iíll make sea salt caramel cookies.

Have a good day everyone!

Mornin all!

For those that are curious, here is the link to the Spark Yoga team:

I agree Toni, yoga is very empowering and great for strength building. I think that was my July challenge for myself, to use yoga as a means of strength training. I am still sprinkling those videos into my rotation.

Very little sleep last night. My kids know mamma likes her sleep and has to get up early and they started texting after 11pm. I replied back that I love hearing from my children, but I love it more before I fall asleep.

It will be a Wednesday Wellness day for me today. Appreciating all that I have and working on healthy habits!

Maree, that bench looks great! Does the seat lift up for sheet music storage? If you get an iPhone, can they transfer everything from your Galaxy?

Bess, I have to deal with medical appointments for me, DH and Mom, it can be daunting.

Econ, amazing cookies! I don't know how you don't eat them.

Today and tomorrow are back in the 90s. I hope the heat breaks with rain on Friday, it's so dry!

Ah Toni - I didn't post yesterday either. I never got to a computer till way late and was just too tired to post.
Maree - yay about that piano bench - it looks great
Econlady - wow - gorgeous cookies
Phebess - I've ALWAYS wanted to go to Australia - I hope you make that choice so I can follow along with you
Sunny - we're gonna want a picture of your new neighborhood
Poindextra - good to hear you're reaching your goals
Kellie - once again - you inspire me to get back to my yoga routine
Bea - do you have any schedule in mind for a knee replacement?
Donna - I love haircut day
Nell - 2 more hot days and then Friday - cool and maybe wet

DH had an early dr. appt. and I go with him. Our young doctor is a delight but she talks very fast and uses idioms he doesn't really get - another aspect of aging, alas. I go to translate and also to be that second pair of ears. And she had a young medical student with her - in fact, sent her in first to give DH an exam, all by herself - which told us that things were looking good. She was probably 24 and attractive and when she told him "your numbers are awesome" ... oh how he preened. He won't have to take any new scary expensive meds and he is out of pain and walking like a fit man again. And his own doctor really was as excited as we were.

All day I was busy at meetings but when I got to the ww one - it was canceled. I'd never checked the website. But I was down a pound and that is always good news.

Getting for overnight guests today.

Good morning!

Sure thought I posted yesterday but as I read the thread this morning do not see it. Darn.

Phebess, your travel destinations sound fabulous. Love the ďmall walkĒ test for DH. Smart doc.
Happy Hump day to all who celebrate!! Piano bench looks professional, Maree. Take a bow.
Donna, good to cluster those doc appointments to free your schedule other days. The doc Ďto doí list can get daunting.
Pretty cookies, Econ!
Bess- hope that foot is coming along.
Sunny - what Maree said was an eye opener for me. Every piece of stuff we own...omg. No wonder you are weary of it.
Kellie, I want to look into the yoga challenge. I like quiet still yoga and find it empowering, even strength building. I donít do it often enough.
Poindextra, glad you are feeling better.

I had an active day. Walked to and from a massage appointment and felt the better for it. Iíve been enjoying more green veggies. And here comes apple season!

Good morning! Hump day!

Econlady, thanks for sharing pics of your cookies--very pretty, intricate work!

DH helped me with the stapling on the piano bench cushion. I'll add a picture. Not perfect, but done and looks better than what was on it. If I had more time, I might have replaced the inside foam. Reality is no one sits there long enough to need more cushion. While we have the staple gun out, I cut a piece of fabric to cover the seat to my sewing machine.

New iPhones unveiled. My Samsung Galaxy Active S7 has started having green and purple vertical lines when I open it. They don't bother me as they disappear after I open email, etc; it just worries me that it will crash and I will lose contacts, pictures etc. Otherwise, I'm not one that needs the newest gizmo. I'm a pretty content person.

Sunny, moving means touching everything you own, at least once. Physically and mentally exhausting, making so many decisions about each item. Emotional, too. Thanks for stopping by and we all understand your absence from posting and cheer you on during the stress of moving from the CA beach to the AZ desert. Decluttering is tough enough for me.

Phebess, good plan to measure your husband's improvement. Hope the mall walking goes well. Window shopping, too. LOL

My DH seems motivated to lose even more; sure looks different than any time I've known him. I hope this is permanent. My daughter, on the other hand, is struggling with weight gain. She is in that perimenopause phase of life, where her body seems to be revolting against her. I'm trying to support her many efforts, but as we all know, it's ultimately a very individualized process. To find what works for each individual.

Off to dress for crossfit class, pack my lunch and straighten house for cleaning lady.

Hope all have a great day!
