Nell, I hope you're feeling better!!! If not, maybe call the dr tomorrow? Passing out is not a normal thing!

I woke up dizzy today - sometimes happens for no apparent reason. Benign positional vertigo is the label the drs give it. So, I didn't do much today - drove nearby for lunch, but didn't want to go far. (My morning shower was a little scary, and that hasn't happened before.)

Drinking lots of water - I usually get in 8 to 10 cups, I think I'm hovering around 100 oz again. It helps.

Just a quick hello/goodnight from me. Got to bed too late yesterday due to working, so will be in bed on time tonight!

Maree you have a busy social life right now. Lots of fun to do and to eat and to share! Cleaning is my least favorite thing to do but I always like to start with a nice clean house when having guests over. Sorry about the gym, it does take some mental planning to redirect your schedule. Maybe some videos at the time you usually go to the gym

Bess The studio is keeping you busy in many different ways. I agree that something changes about the middle of August and the tendrils of Fall start to show. Here the sun moves dramatically in the sky and the light turns from the bright white of summer to the gentle gold by end of September.

Donna having your family together always sounds like a pleasant and enjoyable activity. We spent the weekend with my Sister in Law and it was nice to see her.

Econ glad you got home safely.

Nell how awful for you. You definitely donít need any sick down time right now. I find that I can no longer eat some kinds of food that I still love.

Stiggy snow in August?

Phebess my DH hides from me when he is busy on an art project. I like to share with him and sometimes he is not happy with the interruption.

Toni the family weekend sounds like it was just great for everyone.

We spent the weekend in Paso Robles with my husbandís sister, her husband and a few of their friends. The weather was a perfect 90, that area can reach over a 100 in August. We just relaxed and enjoyed the company. The next day we had breakfast with some cousins who live in the area and it was nice to see them. Then the DH and I took a leisurely drive down HWY 1 to Morro Bay along the coast stopping to walk around the little seaside towns. The weather was just perfect and everyone was out having a great time.

We stay in a hotel nearby even though the SIL has a huge lovely house. She changed her guest room a few years ago into a music studio and it didnít seem like she wanted us to stay there. It gets expensive to spend the night in a hotel so we usually go up for dinner, meet for breakfast and then leave mid-morning. We probably wonít see them any more or less after we move to Arizona and they are starting to think about downsizing and moving to Washington. Life is full of changes.

Good Morning

I went to bed early last night ... Late to bed and early to bed doesn't not work for me. Thats what my weekend was like. It was a great weekend, but I'm glad to be home. There was a LOT of rain while we were gone. I got up early this morning and walked 2.5 miles. I had to dodge some puddles. But I didn't have to carry my umbrella. The clouds are still hugging the top of the mountains. It wouldn't be surprising if there was new snow under the clouds. It usually happens most years about mid August.

Nell, I hope you're feeling better as the day goes on.

Boy was I sick last night!! I took my son and his family to the restaurant of their choice for lunch, Vietnamese. I had an appetizer and a small soup. It must have have been fattier than I tought because I couldn't eat dinner. Last night I was so sick, absolutely nothing in my stomach but that didn't stop anything. I often feel dizzy when I'm sick but last night was the first time I've actually passed out. I'm still weak and slow. My kids are fine, I don't know what happened.

Back to napping.

Maree sorry the gym is closed.
It feels good to be home. I definitely prefer my own bed. Today I have a massage and a trip to the chiropractor.
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning! Happy Monday! 80 in the office this morning - grumble. It will only get worse. Booked to the hilt with appointments.

Big rain last night. Small leak again. I've left it for the guy to make the calls and decisions. I don't have the resources today.

Phebess - I think stitch markers for crochet are just glorified safety pins, anyway. I'm way rusty on my fiber crafting - too many things to do that I have several abandoned projects and then some.

Maree - Boo for the gym closure, but hopefully, everything will be better once it reopens. I'm trying to channel you and start getting up and working out early again before work. The guy's schedule will return to normal soon, plus I need to be up to miss school traffic.

Assuming everyone shows today, I'll have to get to it soon. Have a great day, all!

Maree - I have a rule for that reunion - no eating at all till I've spoken to everyone there. I adopted that when I was first losing the weight and was terrified of facing the dessert table. It occurred to me that the reason for the reunion was the people, not the food. Now it's just my reunion habit. Just that, this time I was also jumping up to fetch things for a grand or an elderly cousin. I know you'll find something vigorous to do to start your days this week.
Phebess - I'm a counter - even when the project is brain dead simple. If I need markers I use little loops of string I tie out of some contrasting color. Of course - sounds like you're going to be using a lot of color so actual string might be the best choice. I also use jump rings from the jewelry store if I have a big lace project I'm working on. They're pretty and shiny.
Bea - that's what church is for - reaching out to those in need. Breakfast is my favorite meal to eat out
Poindextra - my goodness that hole is deep! Hope you fill it soon
Toni - this was the perfect kayak weekend - mild temps and little wind.
Nell - so very glad you have a son to lend a hand with this move - even in just dispensing with excess furniture
Econlady - welcome home today
Yoo Hoos to everyone else on the team - Jamir, Kellie, Sunny, Sue ... oh just all of you

I stained the cabinets yesterday - a nice light pecan color - and will put tung oil on them today. And glue cork board sheets on the end panels so I have idea boards. I also ordered the kit desk I have been dithering over. It's offered by all kinds of on-line shops but I noticed the price had started to go up. The jump was about $50 so I clicked. It should come this week.

These clear days with low humidity make it much easier for me to take big walks with the dogs. Always, after TheReunion, I can feel the winding down of summer. The cicadas have stopped singing and soon the crickets will begin.

Good morning!

I really don't know what to do with myself this morning as the gym is closed for repairs until Friday morning. It's still pretty dark, but maybe a walk/run or bike ride at sunrise. It's times like these when I really miss my walking buddy who moved to Texas. With storms in the forecast, I wish DH would go cycling with me this morning.

Yesterday was cupcakes and lots of food at DD's house for the birthday celebrations. Kids brought birthday presents even though they were told not to. Sigh.

Wow, a family reunion without eating anything, Bess! That's busy visiting! That's a better focus anyway.

Toni, I would love to do some SUP. Did you purchase one? Storage would be a problem for us.

We're planning for company Labor Day weekend at the houseboat and then mid September here at the house. I'm gearing up for the cleaning and all the other decisions that need to be made. I could probably use my workout time to do some decluttering and cleaning.

Looking forward to getting back to routine eating today. Time to make my lunch.

Hope all have a great day!!
