Maree, I agree with Bess - your DH enjoys being outdoors and seeing the animals - and yes, a camera would be just as good!!!

Donna, I hope your DH is feeling better!

We decided to check out a casino this afternoon/evening - way beyond South Tucson, so it was a bit of an adventure getting there (and then getting back in the dark). I found an old friend game, Zeus, and got him to be very friendly (as in paying okay). What can I say, it's better than walking at the mall or hanging out in a hotel. DH wasn't up for another visit to the national park, so we went with low key.

Poindextra, I sure hope you get the right meds. Sounds like you are feeling pretty bad.
Maree, your hubby just loves being outdoors. I like thst kind of hunter. There is enough food in our grocery stores!
Congrats to you for doing so well in your challenge. You have worked so hard to be where you are now.
All the preps for Thsnksgiving and it is only a few days away. This will be a good week not to be in the stores.
We got home from the ER late yesterday afternoon with more meds and instructions to see his cardiologist. Now to see if we can speeed up thst appointment. I keep telling myself to just take this one day at a. time. He is not going to get better but hopefully we can get him a little more stable
I can honestly say this routine is not helping me. I need to work at changing that.

Congratulations, Maree!

I felt super-lousy last night, so called the doc back this morning asking for a different antibiotic. The last time I had a sinus infection this bad was in 2015, and the drug they prescribed yesterday is the one that didn't work well. Too bad I wasn't in any shape to think of that on Tuesday when he mentioned what he would prescribe! Hopefully they'll come through.

Maintenance is as much work as losing, but it has the advantage of allowing us to do it in cuter clothes - BESSHAILE

Mornin all! Congrats Maree!!!

Thinking of you Donna emoticon

That's terrible Toni, a 5:00 Friday meeting. What is this world coming to? emoticon

Yes, Bess, I'll be wearing jingle bells on my shoes. The had a bowl of little bells on pipe cleaners yesterday at packet pickup you could take to tie on shoes. It's snowing outside right now so it should be a winter wonderland by race time! It's held at Cantigny Park:

"It is the former estate of Joseph Medill and his grandson Colonel Robert R. McCormick, publishers of the Chicago Tribune, and is open to the public. Cantigny includes large formal and informal gardens, two museums, a 27-hole golf course, a picnic grove, a playground, hiking paths, restaurants and a gift shop."

Healing wishes to all who need them!

Good morning. This is the last weekend before Thanksgiving so the grocery stores will be mobbed. I have a long list of things to be done this weekend in anticipation of a house full of guests.

Congrats Maree on your prize! You've really worked hard for it.

Good morning!

Sipping my first cup of black coffee. Scamp is whining so I better let him outside. I wish the sun was up. Brrrr, it's cold out there!

Donna, I so hope you have a good update for us today. Hugs.

My crossfit trainer announced to me yesterday morning that I won second place in the six week challenge at our citywide gym! It was based on percentages, not lbs, % muscle increase and % fat decrease and participation in nutrition classes and exercise classes. Prize includes a $300 gift card--not sure what I can spend it on since I don't need a personal trainer. We're supposed to have a photo shoot and share our secrets of success. I feel a responsibility to share since it's SO MUCH MORE than weight loss--brain health, longevity, I truly feel blessed!

So yesterday DH sent a picture of a buck "he passed on." I'm beginning to think he just loves being in the woods and going through the motions. His buddy is going with him this morning. Bro-mance, I love how he has friends that would do anything for him--small town, country life.

Time to get this posted! I sure hope that each and every one of you has a happy, healthy day!!
