I thought it used to be further up Meridian, so I looked it up on google, and got a map. So your directions made perfect sense, LOL!

(And since this is the new one, my memory of one up Meridian made sense. I was feeling badly for having given someone wrong directions back a month or two!!!!)

Thing is, Donna, we're likely going to be visiting family over the US Thanksgiving and again around Christmas/New Year's. And everyone is in cold places. So I'm likely to need something.

Someone else told me about Costco. I'll see if I can find the one here - I can never find it when I'm looking!

Costco had some nice ones here that were not heavy and could be packed in a pouch. They keep you reasonably warm along with keeping the wind and rain at a minimum. Nit sure if they are still there though.
You probably donít need something too warm where you are going,

Hi all! Also enjoyed the lovely weather here - DH wanted to have his computer looked at (though it turned out that the business he brought it to had gone out of business) - but that gave me plenty of time to walk around town and crunch through the dried leaves piled up on the sidewalks.

Plus I did my laundry, and will pack my stuff tomorrow. Probably leave the pack for Wednesday. I'd like to find a packable insulated jacket, but I haven't found one I like. Old Navy has some decent ones (that don't make me look like the Michelin man) but the collar stands up and pokes me in the neck. I hate anything too close around my neck.

I averaged 7.5 hours of sleep/night last week, with at least 7 hours 6 days in a row! I didn't get the full 7 last night, though, so gotta turn the lights out pronto. Tomorrow my piano lesson moves to an earlier time, which will be a big help on the Tuesday night bedtime.

Sleep well!

Bess you are lucky to have your sweet one so close
Donna sounds like you are getting into a routine.
Had a nice day at the gym but decided not to do water aerobics. I seem to have caught something that is lingering.
A bit windy here but it is definitely Fall and the sun goes dow much sooner than I expect.

Hi there

I missed check in yesterday. I was up and out early yesterday to volunteer at the annual Chicago NEDA walk. I always leave their inspired by the men and women of all ages and ethnicities working on or beginning their recovery.

This morning I went for a five-mile run to finish the MapMyFitness app challenge... run or walk 1018 km in 2018. Last year I reached 650 km so I was pretty happy this morning. Not happy trying to get acclimated to cool, gusty winds.

Chris Downey's story was scary. I got a little teary reading his blog the other day. So glad that turned out well.

I'm off work today to take my dad into the city for the 1st of two procedures he needs before starting radiation therapy for prostate cancer.

My daughter and her boyfriend should be arriving this evening. I foresee an early bedtime tonight! Hopefully.

Good morning all, itís still wonderful weather here in the PNW and we need to enjoy every moment because we know once the rain starts it lasts until spring!
I didnít get too my deck yesterday so will do that today. Heading to the gym shortly too. I think the cooler dark mornings are helping us all sleep. Love feeling rested,
Nell we have a silk comforter on our bed thst seems to be all season. We use to,have down but we both found it way too warm.
Bess, enjoy your day with DaPrincess. We use to have our granddaughter very close to us and she spent many hours with us. I think that is why we have such a close bond now. When we were in Winnipeg she told us they would love to come for a visit during Reading Week. We are thrilled....and now we have something to look forward to this winter.

Good morning! Happy Monday! Had an out of office thing to attend to this morning, so I'm getting going on 'normal' a little later today.

We too took advantage of some cooler weather and took a long walk around the neighborhood yesterday. We haven't done that in some time. Walked past the lot where my parents are building their home. It's been staked and leveled, so as soon as the builder has all the paperwork together, the slab will be poured.

Since I was out of office, I have to get lunch. Not many health options nearby, so I'll adjust dinner accordingly.

Hope that everyone has a good one!

I didn't sleep well last night, I froze. It's time to take the light summer blanket off the bed and put the quilt on.

Bess you are lucky to be close enough to the DGD to see her often. My grands are nearby, but only as the crow flies. Traffic is so bad we can't get together very often. Which is probably for the best, my husband can't deal with their energy anymore.

3 more weeks until Daylight Savings Ends. I'm looking forward to mornings not being so dark. I don't mind the dark in the evening, I'm making dinner anyway.

There is a break in the rain, time to get to the grocery store.

I would love to have granddaughter to spoil (someday), but my daughter is not maternal and doesnít like kids. While cutting a melon yesterday I cut my finger. It bled a lot. Hubby took care of bandaging it and finish cutting my melon.

Good morning!

Love your following your princess around, Bess. Having her so closeómany of us with grands far away are jealous! In a good way (-:
Maree, how exciting to plant a tree, and an older one that will show itself off quickly. Wonderful.

I slept long last night also. I think the darkness is fooling with me! But rested now and ready to start the day. Iím enjoying the new accountability of the fresh start page. Suits me right now.

Heading into a busy week with a quick Chicago trip toward the end of it. Love going there. It will be a fun trip.

Have a good Monday, all!

Hey there! I missed yesterday's check-in and never came back to the computer. Like you, Maree, I had gorgeous weather and couldn't resist spending time outside. We took a loooong walk and found 3 trees down from Thursday night's storm. Though they came down in the woods, it's always sad to see a tree down.
Phebess - I think you are one amazing packer. And coordinator!! What an adventure you're going to have this winter.
Sunny - enjoy the water aerobics
Poindextra - congratulations to your DH for tracking and losing those lbs.
Econlady - hope you get your packages
Ooo Donna! New photo - what a great smile. Remember - drink lots of water to combat soreness
A great big shoutout to everyone else.

I had been following Sparkguy's story. My dad had the exact same brain tumor - on the meninges - dr. said he could have had it for years. He, too, was lucky to have his seizure/blackout at home - not driving. In Dad's case, he came out of the seizure and came in from the barn to tell my mother. Today I will be babysitting Da Pwincess as her parents work on a project at their new house. So so so lucky to live close enough to do this.

Good morning!

Maybe it's the cooler weather but I slept really good again, an extra 20 minutes after the alarm. It was a beautiful day yesterday to work in the yard. After church and a nice breakfast out, I worked outside until about 4:00 pm. The Tree Farm came and installed our October Glory Maple tree. It's going to be a great tree!! It's 15 yrs old. I need to log yesterday's nutrition and exercise!

Backsquats at crossfit today. Maybe a walk at lunch with my friend.

Hope all have a great day!!
