Jamir, gorgeous ring!!!! Really beautiful!!!

Couldn't get in to see my dr today, so will see someone else tomorrow. (My dr interfaces with a series of specialists in Seattle on Thursdays, so she isn't in the office.)

I'm using my rescue inhaler a lot, and drinking tons of fluids. And staying inside as much as possible.

Hi team. Our Silly Season at work has started (to borrow a phrase from Swede Su). I brought work home tonight, and decided to call it quits before I finished it all. I need to be fresh for an 8 am meeting with our customer (fortunately telcon).

Jamir, the ring is lovely!

Off to bed I go!

All of you in smoky areas stay safe and inside. We are nowhere near any fires so our air is fine. We will have trouble in October when the Fall winds come back.

Got a few vaccinations and feeling a little under the weather. The list of must haves has really grown

Jamir, that is a beautiful ring and it looks great on you!,
Toni, we have a lot of smoke and it is covering most of our province. It is very scary and this province has so much forested area. I am sure Phebess is just as bad as we are.

Good morning!

Thank you for all your supportive thoughts today. All is set for the service for my Aunt. I suspect it will be a sweet reflective day.

The air quality in Seattle Tacoma is pretty bad right now. We are getting the smoke from Eastern Washington and Canada (Is it still bad there, Donna?). I decided not to walk today. Iíve been doing 4 miles a day here on the waterfront, but my throat is tickling and Iím thinking itís a good day to lay off.

We have been visiting my injured friend who is her lovely self, but cannot walk alone yet and has to search for wordsóaphasia. The good news is she seems peaceful and connected to all of us and when not put on the spot says many important real things: Like...I am emotionally fine. I love your outfitódonít know how you organize yourself to look so well. And yes, I liked the chocolate, it was worth the calories.

We are very hopeful. Head injuries take time and while we donít know what her deficits will be after some time, she knows herself, the rest of us and expresses many things. We try to be grateful while we hope for every Ďlight bulbí moment.

I agree with you, Bess. Maree is an amazing athlete. So glad you are enjoying your princess!
Donna, hope the smoke subsides soon. Boy does this coast need rain.
Jamir! Gorgeous ring. Made me smile.
Nell, take care of that back.
Kellie, that dream sounded wicked!
Phebess, how are you coping with the smoke?
Sunny, how bad is your air?

Trying to slow down the food wagon. A friend made dinner for us last night and it was so good. It was healthy, but not sure how well I did on portion control.

Thanks again for all your good wishes. Toni

Oh Jamirblaze, how beautiful!! What a great day indeed!

Bess, no alarm the other night, just a very vivid dream that had my heart revving! I bet I burned a few calories in those few minutes!

Thinking of you and your family Toni!

By the time I wrapped up a challenging work day, got to the dealer to replace a brake light bulb and inched through traffic, I was wiped out. I forced myself to go for an easy walk since I scarfed down mac and cheese, lazy comfort food.

I popped on Greatest Showman, intending to veg but that music does something to me. I did lower body ST the first 20 minutes of the movie.

Onward and upward my friends!

Donna, the wringer on a wringer washer was called a mangle. There is also a machine with heated rollers called a mangle for ironing flat linens (remember when we had to iron bedsheets?) They are still available, though expensive, hotels have them. I remember Martha Stewart said she couldn't run her household without hers, she said she had two. And, of course, a staff. I have neither.

Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday, I did a work thing out of office and then took the day off to get my car worked on. I was just due for an oil change, and last week, the power window gave me some problems. Then Monday, the sunroof leak reoccurred. They couldn't replicate the window issue, so for now, I've put off the repair. But the sunroof drains were recleaned and the oil change is done.

And then we got the call that our rings were ready for pick up.

Officially official now. And then at work, they announced a raise and that we're off Christmas Eve through the first while I was out. I was sure they'd have us work the 24th (as we have had to do so in the past). So a pretty good day indeed.

Maree - Zoning hearings here in FL heavily favor developers, per my experience. Hope you're able to get a decent result.

Nell - Hope your back feels better, and that all of the ironing goes by quickly. I haven't used an iron in so long, that I probably shouldn't use the one that I have.

Toni - Thinking of you!

Have to get to it! Have a great day, all!

Nell I remember when I was a young girl my Aunt having one of those machines thst ironed your linens. I guess thst was in the day when everyone used linen table clothes for every meal. Did they call them a mangled iron? Donít know why thst came into my head....

Maree, I agree I would,p love to see you workout. There was a time when I would have been able do that too but not anymore.
The air quality is even worse today. I am not sure if we will see the sun....
I hope itís better for you Toni. We are all thinking about you today

Good morning all.

Our power washer and chainsaw didn't work when DH tried to start them to lend to one of our kids, so they needed to go to the repair shop. DH has been putting off helping me get them into my car. Gasoline engines can't be on their sides, so it's quite a wrestle to put the heavy power washer in the car. I got tired of waiting so did it myself yesterday after he left to run errands (if he'd been around he would have constantly complained). My back hurts today, but at least it's done.

It's a church day today, the Assumption of Mary, and a million errands. I'm on church linens for the rest of the month so I'll be doing hours and hours of ironing.

Hated to miss posting yesterday but we had to be out of the house by 6 o'clock for an early morning dr. apt. in the city.
Maree - I would love to watch you workout someday - because you are an amazing athlete!
Phebess - I am SO sorry you are suffering with bad air quality.
Sunny and Donna too - how awful to not be able to breathe outdoors. wish I could send you some of our excess rain.
Econlady - yum! delicious sounding meal.
Kellie!!! What a scary story. So did your alarm go off or was it a dream? I've only ever been frightened like that three times and all 3 scares ended up being something totally explainable and even funny. But they were sure scary at the time.
Oh Nell - your poor son - he must be so frustrated! I hope this settles soon.

We have been crazy busy around here for almost a week now and things will continue this way for at least today. Tomorrow may be a rest day but not if Da Pwincess and her family have time for a playdate with me. Her other grandparents will only be here 2 more weeks and I want to spend as much time with them as I can. Eating has been erratic the past 10 days so I am on a strict weight loss regimen this week.

Good morning!

Hump day, and a busy day for me. Cleaning lady comes today and that means straightening up this morning, Crossfit class where we're doing the "Fran" workout, thrusters and pullups, 30 15 9, for time. It's a classic so I have to do it, and try to beat my time from the last time we did it--I keep a steno notebook to record this info.

I'm attending a zoning hearing tonight as an apartment owner near my rental house seeks a variance. They've come up with a new plan for parking--we'll see.

Thinking of you Toni as your family gathers today. Hugs

I better get this posted and get busy! Hope all have a great day!
