Had a pretty quiet morning busy exercising, a bit of work outside, and housework. The highlight of the day was a permanent and getting my hair styled.

Happy birthday, Bess!

No flu shot yet, the community clinics haven't received them yet. My insurance won't pay for the shot from a pharmacy. Craziness!

Walked about 4 miles today, calories came in toward the low end of my range. Lots of fruit, lots of vegs. Probably should go drink some more water though.

Nell, my husband is getting his flu shot later this week. I think I should wait until after my October 4 half marathon to get mine.

Leaving tomorrow for a meditation intensive for 10 days. Looking forward to having someone else cook and do the dishes! Fare will be simple and vegetarian. Unlikely there will be junk food. I'm glad I have my skills in place.

I ran a bunch of errands, then had to carry heavy stuff into the house and down the stairs. I was so hot I opened all the windows, now after having a cup of coffee, I'm cold.

Has anyone had their flu shots yet? My husband got his today, I need to get around to it soon.

Good afternoon, everyone, and happy birthday, Bess!

I've been busy at work today, so this is the first chance I've had to check in. I got a run/walk in this morning, and will hit some Pilates this evening after I get home. Food has been on track, and I've been watching it closely to try and lose the creep pounds that I've added the last few weeks.

6 fun miles of speed work at the track today!

My clothes are fitting much better all of a sudden even though the scale doesn't show it! Peak mileage week last week was very good to me.

Spent most of the day yesterday figuring out what and how to pack for the cruise. Never thought it would take that long!! And I'm sure my DH will pack in 10 minutes the day we leave...

Hi All, I walked the dogs but woke up late. I have been sick for four days now no fever just sneezing and coughing. I have to blow my nose a lot. I want to be all better. Yes! NCIS is back on tonight!!

I have the plumber here trying to fix the hot water heater. In the name of energy efficiency, an appliance that was once bullet proof now has a fragile computer on it.

Lots of errands to run today.

Hello all!

Today is the last day of a step challenge I've been embroiled in at work. I will be SO glad when today is over. I'm exhausted. emoticon

An evening of errands last night kept me moving. Looking forward to a little downtime tonight and the season premier of NCIS!

Going to walk to a nearby store first to pick up some toiletries to celebrate world car less day!

Happy Tuesday all!

A hearty welcome to our new posters! Participating in this daily chat and the maintenance challenges has really helped me to be more consistent with my food and exercise, even if I don't post about those topics or my weight.

And, to Nancy Jean, I'm so glad your beginning to feel better.

I got my 10K steps in yesterday, and got my walk in this morning as well. There are still vestiges of yesterday's rain, which we sorely needed. We switched our meal plan around due to the rain, and had our leftover salsa chicken tacos yesterday (yum!); tonight we'll have the jerk chicken on the grill, and I'll grill more plain chicken to take for lunches for the rest of the week. I plan to bike to work tomorrow, and if the legs and weather allow, to bike on Friday as well. I need to get more cardio into my routine!

I hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning! Happy Birthday, Bess! Maree - thanks for the reminder - I have a concert tomorrow night, and I need to pick up some ear plugs. Find many more things enjoyable with them.

I, too, have battled the creep. Stopped it, but can't seem to get rid of the extra pounds. Staying the course, and it will come.

ST last night. Run tonight. Adjusting to guy's and my differing work schedules as he has started a new contract.

Ain't it the truth, Toni? East or west, home is best. Welcome, also, GRAMMIEOFTWO. Maree - another thanks for the reminder of not just getting the hearing checked, but also wearing ear plugs with the hair dryer. I will start today - as part of my Brand New Year. There's nothing I like more than new beginnings.

Had the most splendid birthday yesterday, starting with waking up at my normal time. Jet-lag is officially over. I've been writing up my trip journal and am blogging about it on my OtherBlog which you can find here:

Tonight is my official weigh-in and I know I'm up a little. I think I'll take this time to put on heavier clothing for winter and just move into a brief spell in weight loss mode. I'm also reading the options on the Spark People Challenge Central. In October I want to start one - there are lots of choices and many of them sound like fun. Have any of you tried a SP challenge?

Hey everybody, Happy Tuesday and welcome, GRAMMIEOFTWO.

Thanks for the hearing information, Maree. I need to put that on my list of regular check up issues. And I am waaaaay behind on blog reading and writing too. I do hope to post some Nova Scotia pics in the next few days.

OOLALA53, I admire your walk home from the service center! What a great idea to use that as a reason to get in daily activity.

COLOR-BLUE, so glad you are feeling better and there is something about a shower or a bath, isn't there? Like a refresh button.

I plowed through laundry and met a writing deadline yesterday. It was a good day and felt nice to be productive. I made a chicken recipe out of the latest Real Simple magazine. Leeks and lemons under chicken, baked at 425. It calls for tossing in bite sized torn pieces of sour dough bread. It's fairly low cal, although I did keep skin on. But I just had one piece of chicken and with the veggies and two of those sour dough 'croutons' it was a yummy treat. My family loved it.

Off to my writing group today. Gosh it's good to be home. Toni

Good morning!

Welcome Grammieoftwo!

Lots of blogging so I will have to check them out. I tried to do that once but can't get some of these features to work from my mobile phone. I'm not real tech savvy.

Hearing test by audiologist yesterday was in normal range; the lower end but still normal. She said to protect my ears from loud noise and wear ear plugs. Like when blowing my hair dry or vacuuming! And annual exams.

Beautiful weather here so really enjoyed walk with friend yesterday. Cardio and crossfit this morning for 90 min and then heading out of town.
