Hi All, I am about to take a walk to the stores about 2 miles and back I have to work tonight. I get leg cramps if I walk to much. I have to drink a lot of water. Best wishes on this beautiful day. Linda from bean town emoticon emoticon emoticon

Ate less and worked out WAY more at dance camp these past few days. Weigh more today. Ah, me. Not feeling like reining it in any more than I am.

Happy Friday Eve! It's already crazy and not even 9 am. Meh. Between work, family and my own finances that are getting a makeover now that my largest student loans are history, I need more coffee.

Run last night. Another one scheduled for today and then a rest before the long run on Saturday which is short this first week at 4 miles. Running outside yesterday at 6:30 in 90F-ish weather and high humidity was a struggle, especially as I have stayed too reliant on the treadmill, despite wishes to the contrary. The 100s here lately have just been too darned hot to run in.

The guy got a toy last night - a very nice grill. So I'm looking forward to all sorts of experimenting.

Hope that everyone has a good one!

The JC Penney insert in this morning's paper had a door buster item: a personal sports blender reduced from $50 to $8.98. I have a congenital weakness for gadgets of all kinds but especially kitchen gadgets. Not having to drag out and wash my full sized blender to make smoothies sounds good. Amazon's price is $79.99 (!!) so I'll be there when the doors open at Penney's.

I've been treating myself to a bedtime drink: hot almond milk with sugar-free mocha syrup. Only 30 calories and non-caffeinated. And tasty!! **

** And, per the Silky folks, 50% more calcium than milk. Calcium has a sleepy-time effect on many people -- Bonus.

I have a thousand errands to run today and a condo board meeting tonight. We are going to have to fire our new maintenance man and find another one, always an onerous task. And, of course, it's mostly on me, the volunteer.

Kellie, there is nothing like coming across someone with bigger problems than ours to yank us back into gratitude.

The outer bands of whichever typhoon have brought rain off and on all day - serious rain! So we went out to the market, I bought cold cereal, lowfat milk, and bananas, my usual hurricane food supply. We've basically holed up in the hotel, not much to do outside with all that rain.

Danced around the room a bit, re-arranged my luggage so I can easily downsize when we hit the US. Gifts in one bag, which will be emptied. I'm hoping to get everything into carry-on size for our next year of travelling.

Hi all! Not too much improvement with my lower back from yesterday but I'm better than I was Sunday so that's good. I hit my 12K step goal yesterday for the first time this week so that's good.

I'm thinking the race I signed up for Saturday is out. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

I have a very stressful day coming up here at work. Things are a mess but a coworker fighting breast cancer stopped by at the end of the day yesterday, really put things in perspective!

Here's to a great day!

Happy Thursday all,

Another day of pretty much the same; morning walk and stretching, and I'll start work when I'm done with this post.

Still keeping up my 10K steps a day (just made 50 days in a row), and am hoping to get both a hike and a bike ride in this weekend. So far there's no rain in the forecast, but it's only Thursday, so who knows!

Good Morning All!!!

I'm off in about another 30 minutes, to get my car serviced, it's having some electrical issues, along with other errands, and when I get back home, prayerfully I'll be able to get a workout in, God willing. I plan on walking the dealership, while waiting for my car, also. Have a WONDERFUL day, everybody!

Blessings!

She's back! Channeling my inner Terminator. The computer is back from the hospital and I can play online again. Werk has been demanding this week and it will probably be a bit stressful today too but then I am taking tomorrow off and will soak up the fun of another 3 day weekend. I haven't been to the gym all week because I have a little 9 year old cousin visiting - but we've been swimming every afternoon.

No photos of my floating Labrador yet because I keep forgetting to tell Himself to wait till we get home. He takes the dogs off for a walk every evening just before dinner. Today I'll remember. Let us hope he does too.

Tonight we are having breakfast for dinner. I love it when girl cousins visit - they shake us out of our stodgy routines.

Good morning!

Busy day ahead for me getting our student intern acquainted with our bus system and sending my husband off for some skin surgery, pre-cancerous, but on his face so stressful. The docs do a procedure called MOHS that reduces scarring but takes time. Any medical procedure that isn't life threatening we consider a blessing and an opportunity, but it's still a bit stressful.

Tonight we are headed to lake. I'll check in on our duck nursery (!) and give you all a report on what's up Under the Sweet Potato Vine.

Can't wait to swim and kayak. It's been a few weeks. I've been walking and using the elliptical some to keep my activity level goals going.

Welcome new comers, lurkers or anyone dropping by!! emoticon

Good morning!

Welcome Nell, and all other lurkers (lol)! I guess I've come to think of my workout as "grownup recess". It's fun to do classes and make friends.

DH says we're going to try swordfish tonight. Should be interesting.

Cardio and crossfit today for 90 min. Lean lunch to pack. No traveling all week! Dermatologist appointment this afternoon.

Hope all have a great day!!
