Yes. I can them and eat them all year round. They call them Blue Lake String Beans. I love cooking them and season them to taste. Soooo good.

DellMell, are those the long skinny "shoestring" beans? We grew those when I was a kid, and my mother would saute them with fresh crushed tomatoes and garlic - YUM!. I haven't had them in years!

I am on a clear liquid diet today for a test tomorrow! I don't mind the liquid diet, but I can't have any red dye and no purple. Those are my favorite colors to drink... LOL I cannot do the exercise I usually do due to the liquid diet. I will be back in full swing by Monday afternoon or perhaps Tuesday! It really depends on the outcome of the test.

Feeling a little under the weather. But got in 3.5 mile walk and an hour of Tai chi.

Tomorrow is not too busy but just a lot of catch up errands. We had some sprinkles the other day. It was nice yo see clouds

Hah - quite a late check in for me today.

I was REALLY tired yesterday after my bike ride home from work, and I think that carried over into this morning. Strangely, I've been tired but not sore today. Still, I got up fairly early to do some errands before my weaving guild meeting. Then, more errands and some time chatting with a friend in Peru after I got home.

I stayed (just) within my calorie range today, and (just) got my 10K steps in by walking on the treadmill while watching another episode (Season 2) of aGoT. I'm REALLY loving our new TV with the blu-ray DVD.

I had planned to do My PT workout today, but I didn't have energy for that or for piano. I hope to do both tomorrow, as all of our errands are out of the way.

I also noticed today that I haven't gotten enough protein for the last couple of days, and my fiber has also been low, even though I've been eating lots of veggies. So, I've got to work on that, as the scale still isn't doing what I'd like!

I hope you all have a great Sunday.

Sorry I've been an absent Spark friend! I've been tracking, exercising, and staying really busy.

Honestly, I avoided checking in because I'm working hard to eat more per my nutritionist/dietician and it makes me feel guilty. My weight shot up a few lbs but seems to have come down a bit and I think it is starting to settle. I weigh 2 lbs more than I wanted to but my clothes fit, I have more energy, and I'm feeling stronger. My trainer says my body fat hasn't gone up so she thinks it is muscle, fluid, and weight of food. Eating more protein is rocking my world! I've edited my goal weight up by a pound and my have to accept that second pound too because being healthy and strong enough to enjoy life is what it's about, right?

I've stepped up to swinging a 35 lb kettlebell in class. Physical therapy is finally starting to help me get my hamstring strength back. Running is going better but I'm still being careful not to go too fast (sprinting is bad for a healing hamstring).

Tomorrow I'm running a 10k and really really hope to break my personal record. Not sure if my hamstring will allow that but I hope so.

MAREE: A former co-worker of mine (a delightful lady but somewhat eccentric) underwent a series of acupuncture sessions. I don't remember what the motivating ailment was but she was delighted at an unexpected side effect: She was once again able to tolerate alcohol and sugar!! My unspoken reaction was that many people undergo treatment to help them AVOID alcohol and sugar. Oh well.

Our NOAA weather radio began wailing at 2 a.m. and I haven't been back to sleep since. I wish there was some way to turn off warnings and watches concerning marine conditions. Unless there's a 100 foot storm surge headed straight for my pillow, I'd just as soon not know.

Good morning team!

What a beautiful bride and first class wedding last night!

Moving slow this morning as 4 oz of wine resulted in headache. Guess my body has rejected alcohol. That's ok.

Cloudy with rain in the forecast so I m not pouting about missing a weekend at the houseboat and happy to be spending time with DD and granddaughter!

Hope all have a great Saturday!

P S. I second the May thoughts. Surely heaven consists of the month of May!

Happy Saturday

How wonderful celebrating graduations!

I went to a high school production of Mary Poppins last night. I could recite the whole movie as it was one of my daughter's favorites when she was little. They didn't follow the movie exactly and it was fantastic! The talent of these kids was amazing.

I'm still sore from the SparkPeople Bootcamp 30-min total body workout I did two days ago. Loving that!

It's gonna be a rainy weekend here so the elliptical and laps around the house are in my future!

Way to go POINDEXTRA biking to work!

We had the same experience (college graduation) of our granddaughter last weekend. Wonderful memories they have created for us.

How wonderful to celebrate your son's achievement on this lovely May weekend, Toni. If I were in charge of the world there would be 4 May's in every year. LOL.

My week of crazy is over and now the busy season begins. But tucked into the next few weeks is one week of staycation. This means every day at work has to be efficient and productive. But there will be exercise. I'm really tempted by the 5 mile challenge that was in the Best of Spark People email this morning. Today, though, it's just a fun day with some girlfriends. The joke is - it was supposed to be a day of quaint little shops and all the husbands were pouting so they're all coming down to play with Himself. Now I have to clean the kitchen! LOL

Happy Saturday, my maintainer pals.

Good Saturday morning all. Long drive up the coast yesterday to get to Harford, CT for my son's graduation. Breezed through NYC but CT, not so much! Yikes, what traffic.

Glad to be settled and getting ready for graduation tomorrow. Meanwhile had a lovely dinner with my son and his girl friend. Worth all the miles!

Have a good one, wherever your weekend takes you, maintainer friends!
