Kelliebean how kind of you to save the squirrel. I agree staying away from the surgery stuff does make for a happier scale number

Doing a 15 mile interval walk each day to help get a bit more aerobic minutes in. It does help to keep the munchies at bay. Just have to get up a little earlier

Love the Merry Maintainers Monday

I hope there is a Tuesday description coming

Late check in for me. Toni, I skipped going out to breakfast with my co-workers and stayed home. I just didn't have any energy to be social. It was a nice day with DH and DS.

I walked the dog, did some laps around the house in order to hit my step goal, enjoyed the Cubs game and squeezed in some upper body ST which I am feeling today. OOF!!! I haven't done that fitnessblender.com working in a long time.

I attempted to save a baby squirrel Saturday that had fallen into the street with the nest it seemed. I'm not a fan of squirrels but it was cold and blustery and I couldn't just walk past it laying there in the street so tiny and shivering.

So I used the paper plate I take on the dog walks, scooped it up, freaking out a little on the inside. It started to fall off as I moved toward the grass, I yelped, it grabbed onto the edge of the plate with one claw, and hung there till I got it to the grass. I then picked up part of the nest and laid it on top of it to block the wind a little.

I checked back yesterday, the nest had not been disturbed but I couldn't see it's nose poking out anymore. Maybe it curled up deeper into the back of the next, not sure. It was SO small.

That's my weekend story. Oh and the scale went down two pounds. I think the end of TOM had a bit to do with that as well as knocking of the sugary snack roll I was on for two weeks.

Five more days till my next 5K.

I too lost a bit of weight. Very happy about that. Went to exercise, did some grocery shopping and did some errands. Busy morning and this afternoon will enjoy a relaxing game of Mahj jong with the girls.

Happy Monday, everyone - only 5 days to go until the next weekend:).

This morning, I walked on my treadmill for 30 minutes (max 2.5 mph), and then did my stretches and a couple of PT exercises. I'm less sore than I expected after the big increase in activity this weekend.

I hope you all have a great day.

Happy Monday! The weekend was much too short.

Struggling with nutrition and formal exercise, but lots of walking, scrubbing, raking, pulling plants, trimming rogue bushes and more. Pretty much worked straight for 6+ hours yesterday inside and out. Got a nice blister from raking which I did not notice until it broke open, but the new pest control service is coming Saturday and they asked for the leaves to be raked away from the house, so I did it so that we only have to do a quick pass Saturday morning. So much for gloves. Finally made some progress on my ongoing journey to get rid of these grassy plants left by the previous owner. Shallow but pervasive roots mean that I've had shoots pop back up on me. I also was stopped in getting some of them due to turning open a fire ant pile. Avoided being bit, but they swarmed a huge area and nothing is worst than a fire ant bite. ST last night. Running today.

I have already made some steps for getting the eating under control, but I'm still working on it. Scale is holding steady or trending down, but I have a bit to go to get back to where I need to be.

Hope that everyone has a good one!

My father is back in the hospital but doing much better as of yesterday. I have thanked Heaven a hundred times for my stepmother, who is a rock. This episode makes it one hundred and one times.

I spent most of yesterday in the kitchen cooking things that I left in their refrigerator before going to the hospital. I included a couple of "Mason Jar salads." These are fun to make and if properly packed and handled will stay crisp for up to four days, a good way to do some advance preparation for a healthy last minute meal. And, of course, they're instant portion control. Here's the cookbook I got from amazon.

Good morning! I got up late today and expected to be late to this thread but everyone must be sleeping in too, lol.

Wound up the weekend yesterday with two grand children and our daughter for dinner after watching our grand daughter play soccer. It was an afternoon game and warm. Lovely to feel the sun on my face. Gardening in the morning too. I rested up from harder exercise and my knee is the better for it.

Kellie, I don't know what you did yesterday, but whatever your choice I definitely want to stay home sometimes and just be. I find it so easy to get over scheduled and so important to holler "uncle" when I need to.

Have a sparkin' Monday team mates.

Ditto on the lament for skimpy weekends, gang. I just realized my kids are coming home this weekend and YIKES! I still have stuff piled up in the guest bedroom. Plus I have to bake something for Friday night's library event. And clean the house. and Um. look. A book. To read. I think I'll just sit down for a few minutes .....

Not much exercise yesterday but some. I am thinking I need to eat more greens. I know I have been forgetting and eating the easy way with sandwiches and all. And the scale is just sitting there like a slug - not going where I want it to. I know what to do - I am just not doing it the way I should.

I'm going to head to the gym early today so I can come home at 5 and play with my new weed eater. LOL. shows you how exciting my life really is.

Merry Maintainer Monday to you all.
