This week has been an emotional one. I almost divorced my husband of 8 years but decided to stay and make it work. I've been getting in exercise, but not as much as I should because I have not felt very good. I am hoping that in the next few days I get back on track and feel somewhat normal again.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Poohscout1 and Dellmell, your gardens sound wonderful! I'm hoping to try one tomato and one bell pepper plant in pots this year - if I don't neglect them like I did last year, I should get some veggies out of them.

It was a successful day for me as well. No real exercise, but I was kept very busy (and not eating!) demonstrating how a loom works to many kids and adults; quite a few tried it out two, so there may be some budding weavers among them. I stuck with my prepared rations, stayed within my calorie range, and even have a little left in the budget for a bedtime snack; I just need to decide whether I want the snack to be a pear or some almonds; I'll check my nutrition report for the day to make the decision..

Tomorrow is our errand day; my plan is to get up early and ride about 5 miles on my bike for the first ride of the season so I get that out of the way. Now it's off to bed for me.

CRAZY day. You can check out my blog if you'd like. Anyway, I said SparkPeople at least 20 times to strangers. Must have walked 4000 steps in Costco. Oh yes, I did walk at 7:30 am because I knew it would be a weird day...then got another walk in at 1 pm.

POOHSCOUT1, I planted my peas today. Did yard work and then went and took my sister shopping. A lot of walking. Take it very slow because your grandson need your help.

Calories are in check for today, got half of the potatoes and onions in the garden, did a 30 min bike ride tonight for the 2nd trip of the season. I have to start slow on the bike or my artificial knee and hips aren't happy. Want to get in better biking shape so I can take the grandson biking this summer often as he is struggling with a weight problem already and he's only 9. He's not a very active or coordinated boy and isn't in to sports but loves to bike so I hope to hit a lot of the local trails with him. Ok time to finish up for the day and then relax a bit by reading.

MOVING AND MAINTAINING. Yesterday is gone, let it go, tomorrow hasn't happened, don't long for it. Today is the present .........enjoy it

Today is such a nice day that I had a chance to plant my peas. Have to get my tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, squash, corn, hot peppers, and zucchini. I might have forgot something but that's a start.

Hi All, I am checking in today! I looked at the scale that says I have gained some weight. I need to lose again. I have been emotionally eating. My son left the lights on the car and had to have AAA come to jump the car. I may need a new battery soon. It costs money I do not have. My son is going to a Wedding in DC next week and I am staying home with all the pets. I have a dog and my daughter is going also. My daughter has three cats and a dog. I will be caring for all these pets for a couple of days. I need to exercise more. I am walking the dogs every day three times a day. Need a little support. I've never seen a calorie count for standing. It's irrelevant to me; if I stand long enough I'm down for another 24 hours with a back ache.

Yesterday was the first anniversary of selling our house on the other side of town. We observed it by inviting our real estate agent over for drinks after she got off work. She did a bang-up job of helping us sell the old house and buy this one and we've become good friends with her. We celebrated the sale for two reasons. One, we like this neighborhood much more than our previous one. Two, that neighborhood flooded 12 days after we sold. Our buyers woke up with two feet of water swirling around. Former neighbors are reporting their county assessments are running about $50,000 less than the previous year. We had already purchased this house and if we hadn't gotten out in time we'd have been stuck with two houses: one half-renovated and one unsellable. I still get a sick feeling when I think about it.

Good morning all,

I'm envious of all you kayakers out there - that's one thing I haven't tried yet, which is definitely on my "to do" list!

Today won't be very active, as I'll be at the park most of the day weaving (or helping others weave). The loom and accessories are packed in the car, and I've got my healthy rations all planned out. I'm happy that today's weigh-in was a bit lighter; I seem to have finally turned my ship around, but it's always much slower taking the pounds off than putting them on - unfair, I say!:)

And, hubby's allergies are kicking in, so we may be getting our walk in at our gym's new cardio theater instead of outdoors. I also hope to get out on the bike for a first (short) ride of the season. I'm rekindling my goal of biking to work this summer, but I need to get on the bike to make it happen!

I hope you all have a great day!

Good morning everyone. Just caught up on the thread yesterday and frankly, Jen, I'm more than irritated with your mammo process. In the breast treatment focused clinics here and at Kaiser they do not delay the follow up when they get an uncler result; they do the imaging right away. I'm so sorry you have to wait! As for prayers, sending them.

Bess, what a grand way to celebrate your anniversary. And thank you for the heads up about the Atlas. I'm desperate for one for VA because I don't know so many roads, especially in the south.

Dalid posted a question on her feed about the calorie burn in standing all day. Does anyone know? It seems like the hardest thing to me. It must burn more than sitting?

We got out on the water yesterday and it was grand. I posted a blog, if anyone is interested. And I'm posting a pic of my DH with this post too.

Cooking for friends tonight and already imaging my portion sizes. It's a healthy menu, but there will be a rhubarb-strawberry cobbler for dessert. Soooo, I'll keep portion size in mind and enjoy. Is it just me, but there is something so old fashioned and homey and springtime about rhubarb?

Have a wonderful Saturday, team!

Thank you Maree - it WAS a delightful anniversary. I took the day off, we did our favorite thing - a ramble across the Virginia countryside with a restaurant destination. We like to take the DeLorme's Atlas for VA (there's one for every state), pick a county, and travel up and down all its back roads. This time we picked Fluvanna and I finally got to drive through Palmyra - a tiny little town with a romantic sounding name. The delicate green lace of early spring rippled across rolling landscape that parted to give glimpses of blue hazed mountains. The sky was puffed with white clouds that coalesced in the late afternoon into a huge dark thunderstorm that prompted Himself to begin singing Beethovan's 6th.

Our anniversary dinner was a massive calorie indulgence for which I am unrepentant because today I begin my new springtime routine. A perfect project for the next 41 years of marriage to Himself.

Hope you find some mushrooms, Maree. Jen - prayers winging their way to you. I'll be thinking of you, Toni, as I haul out my kayak. Gonna be 80 degrees today!

Good morning team!

Prayers going out for you Jenfrog. I have orders to get that done too and always dread it. Hope new images show all ok.

Happy anniversary, Bess! I'm sure you found a n adventure on memory lane. Hope all have fun at their exercise activities this weekend. I laughed out loud at the "new trend" SP posted, the dance walking! My walking this weekend will be hiking for mushrooms again.

Hope all have a great Saturday!
