AT museum today so no exercise except walking the dog. There are only 3 more Wednesdays and then I am giving it up as a weekly commitment. I will be available or occasional sub days for the next year but I am glad to be out of the commitment.

I am ramping up my exercise minutes, and planning to drive to see my 93 year old mother more frequently.

We are moving out of Spring into the really dry drought days and everything is turning brown.

Hi team!

I have slacked off on checking in. My physical therapy exercises and appts are taking a lot of time. But I'm finally seeing progress - I didn't have hamstring pain on yesterday's 6 mile run!

The scale is creeping up as I try to adjust to the higher calorie intake my registered dietician nutritionist prescribed. (I was eating under 1400 and she gave me a range of 1400-1700, focusing on getting more protein and healthy fats.) I am not happy with the scale (looks like I've gained 2-3 lbs) but I am trying to relax and allow time for my weight to settle.

This is the bad time of year for my migraines, what with the sudden weather changes. Had to get a shot at urgent care Sunday even. This too shall pass and everyone has their own troubles so I try to keep putting one foot in front of the other and not waste energy feeling sorry for msyelf!

Off to kettlebell today!

I got a very late start today.

I must of needed my sleep because I woke up after 8 am! Yikes!

I completed a 45 minute Cardio DVD and a 40 minute Core Challenge.

Off day on my Running and Taper Week. My Rock N Roll Raleigh HM is this Sunday!
So excited..

Jane Fonda for me today. I got it from the Library. She surprised me by having a strength-training workout instead of a cardio. So, now I need to figure out what to do for cardio. No problem...it's sunny and I have lots of DVDs.

Hello again. I'm trying to type this whilst riding my stationary bike, so we'll see how that works, lol! Burned up 205 calories so far, going for 400. Haven't been doing well on the eating thing, but still doing at least some exercise. Stress is getting lower, as my nephew's family settles in here, and we are finding that we enjoy them a lot. Today, going to offer them that they could rent from us, instead of looking for a gross cheap apartment, and I could quit/cut-back-on my school job and nanny my little great-nephew. Don't know if they'll be at all interested, but I'm feeling like it's time I was home more, taking care of my frail, aging parents who live with us.

Hi all,

I'm struggling with a little scale creep, so thought checking in here might help. My victory yesterday was bringing 2 cupcakes home from the office to share with DH instead of eating them myself. Yesterday I had half of the chocolate one, and tonight I'll indulge in half of the coconut one. For some reason, having sweets during the day sends me into binge mode, but I'm OK if I have a sweet as a bed time snack. It will probably take a couple of days for the scale to turn around though - my ship moves slowly!

Maintenance is as much work as losing, but it has the advantage of allowing us to do it in cuter clothes - BESSHAILE

Current goal weight 120 (+/- 3% = 116.4 to 123.6)

Happy Hump Day!

A tired one yesterday - and so far today (yawn) - so I managed 45 minutes of incline walking on the treadmill while catching up on my TV watching. ST today. Nutrition in range, but want to dial it back a bit to combat vacation gain. Bloated from hormones, plus vacation bloat equals crazy going-to-regain-all-120-pounds-asap thoughts. But trying to just keep on with what works and ignore the rest.

Maree - How long do you think it will be before we see the first presidential primary ads? emoticon (Too soon, for sure.)

Hi all!

Thanks Bess! I'm with Toni on the allergies. I started back on the Nasonex the end of February hoping to head off spring but here I am with the face of a blowfish! It's a rainy, foggy morning here. Focus on the positive, it's good for the flowers!

I inserted jumping jacks of different intesities during the day yesterday, ending the day with plank jacks. I'm going to try to make that a daily habit.

I need to reign in the eating. I slid down the slippery slope on Easter. Jumping off that slide today!

Got up early for the second day in a row to get some cardio in ... not a lot, as I'm still easing back in because of my fibromyalgia and because I can't lose too much weight for another 3 weeks now ... and after I get the kids off to school I will be heading out to a Weight Watchers meeting and weigh-in. Week 3 of my maintenance phase (have to stay within 2 lbs, plus or minus, of my goal weight) to get to my Lifetime Member status and THEN I can increase the cardio and ST and go lower if I want :)

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Kellie - I'm holding your hand as you hold mine. We'll face that ache together. With all our sweet maintainer friends' support around us. Thanks guys.

Crazy Busy day today with meetings all day long. Quarterly board meeting with some Issues to discuss - and 2 new enough board members to suspect the meeting will go way past 5. Especially since the "move along now" member won't be there. but I love these guys - they're like my maintainer team for my job, so I don't mind if they want to talk.

And by hook or by crook no matter how late it is, I'm getting to the gym afterwards. I'll buy takehome for dinner - but I am getting that cardio in.

Good Wednesday morning all. Just read yesterday's posts and laughing--I can do that from this distance--at Mandy's bench assembly project. What a cool idea though, to use it as part of a grill station.

Planning on a walk today and then a meeting with my writing group. Should be fun. Am so glad about the warmer weather even with the arrival of spring allergies--who knew I had them? Taking some Clariton and moving on. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I've waited too long for Spring to let sneezing and blowing get me down.

Thinking of both Bess and Kellie. Those anniversaries are haunting, I find. I try to think of the good things from the time I had with my parents, but it doesn't take away the deep wish to have them with me again. emoticon

On to Wednesday now and all it promises.

Good morning!

We will have a new Mayor today. Yaaaay for a break from political ads for a while. I made it to the polls 15 min before closing.

Crossfit and cardio this morning for 90 minutes. Another luncheon seminar. This is not ideal for my diet. It's the big cookies they serve that pull me in. I need to pass them up or bring it home for DH.
