Nice day! Transplanted more daffodils and then we got a spring shower to water them.
Bess, I think you got your exercise in! . . . and I was so proud of my 2 mile walk--but only one. lol Enough for me at this stage. I got a shovel workout today for a couple hours, then did some squats, weight lifting, etc. for about a half hour.

When I started out, before I lost weight, I was so out of shape with aches and pains setting in, I almost quit doing anything. It was just too painful. Since loosing weight I am inching my way up on the exercise ladder. So, anyway you slice it -- 2 miles or 8 miles, it is all good. I don't count on exercise to maintain my weight as much as making me healthy. I did that in the past and when I had a life upset and couldn't exercise coupled with relaxed eating/maintaining mode, my weight piled back on and I just let go and let it happen. Wrong decision! This time I am looking for moderation in eating and exercise--something sustainable that I can live with for the rest of my life. However, I have noticed I am getting more and more motivated to take that extra lap or two around the neighborhood or lift those weights an extra 5 times . . . or transplant flowers.

Update! NO MORE Wiggle room on my weight! Still figuring out how to keep balance and stay in charge. Staying active but could step it up again.

My focus is health AND fitness! And LOSING 10 lbs. again!

Hi All, I walked my little doggie today. I broke my eye glasses this morning and was afraid that I would have to buy new ones. I found the eyeglass lens and was able to repair the glasses. I will have to call the doctor about the glasses. I think I am due for new ones with an eye exam. I found some old glasses and a repair kit. I dusted my Mom's bedroom. I took Mom to the grocery store and she walked around for an hour. Best wishes, Linda from bean town

Hi all, somewhat tough few days here. My husband and I flew to Texas to be with the family of a dear friend who passed away a week ago and attend the funeral, so tracking and activity have been spotty at best. I expect the scale to reflect that for a few days after we go home tomorrow, but hopefully I didn't do too much damage. We did get outside for a short run today and did a lot of walking yesterday, but these kind of events seem to revolve around food.

Hi Team. I'm just back in town from the Marina. The WIFI isn't hooked up yet so my computer time was very limited. Great weekend, but too short. All systems are go on the houseboat and it's always a relief when they make it through the winter well. We went for long hikes in the Mississippi River bottoms both Saturday morning and this morning, which was a great workout. Nutrition wasn't bad but I wasn't able to do any tracking. I'll try to go back and fill in as I can.

Oh, how I DO LOVE SUNDAYS!!! Had a decent nights rest, a not too hurried morning, gret service at church, picked up some frozen peas and shrimp and making paella for dinner. Going to enjoy a bit of the sunshine and get in a run, hopefully a longer one so tomorrow can be a short, then a workout with friends and then a visit to listen to another friend playing an acoustical set downtown. May even have a chance to get some organizing done and a bunch of filiing. Now, THAT'S a good day! The only thing that could make it sweeter is to see a little bit of a drop on the scale, but as long as it isn't climbing, I'll take it! Have a great day everyone!

Oneweigh - it's always easier for me to get up off the couch - Hope you can find your balance too.

I was up and at'em early this morning but only online for a little while. Precious Angel Baby Darling Only Son was visiting this weekend and he had to leave this morning but first we took a walk. In fact - I've had 4 2 mile walks this weekend and I am sure to get in at least one more before bedtime today. It's so gorgeous outside I expect to see all the pink trees get that first flush of yellow - Nature's First Green.

Yesterday's calories/points were right up there at the limit - but I got in a tone of activity. Feeling positive about my weight. I've also pulled the rest of the warm weather clothes out of the attic. I'll go shopping there and see what I can give away.

I had to post a gain for the week, but I'm still feeling optimistic about the future. I finally replaced the battery in my pedometer yesterday and did some decluttering in my sewing room in preparation for new projects. I did a rump roast in the slow cooker that turned out well, though we didn't eat until late. We attended a concert to benefit our church outreach fund that was a girl's senior project for high school. She got two professional pianists and violinists to play. Foodwise I was over again because we had lunch out. I'm thinking maybe I just need to increase my activity level to the point where I can "get away with" 1800 calories a day. "Self, which would you rather be, hungry or lazy?"

Good morning team!

Wonder where everyone is? I know why I'm checking in late. Drank a few too many last night and slept in this morning. But I've had my breakfast and am drinking my coffee so should be good to conquer my day. After a little sparkpeople time that is.

Have to get my grocery shopping done and have a ST workout planned. I told the girls I would take them to the park yesterday and then got too busy and didn't have time. So I really need to get them out of the house today.
