No Mutts fine, he would just freak out every time he heard a man made noise and for some reason a trash can being pulled along a driveway really got to him

When I went to the pound, I told them I wanted a dog, not puppy and I lived in the country and didn't want one that went and hid every time the rooster crowed. They gave me Mutt and told me they had found him in a field in the country. He had no problem with the country sounds, alerted me when the dumped dog in the road wasn't friendly and knew is way around the country. BUT let someone drag a trash can down the driveway and he took off.

I don't know that Cassie does anything odd, other than because she is a breed that is suppose to be suspicious of people (Australian Cattle Dog) and she seems to love everybody. Every time she knows the mail carrier is coming and she is outside, she will run to the gate to see her. She is very needy for people and if I am not in the yard with her, she will jump the fence to look for me or to get to me if I am out in front.

I don't know what her early years were like. One previous owner went into body building and decided she had no time for her, so the breeder got her back and got her championship. A few months later I called to breeder to ask about bloodlines and she gave Cassie to me. I have had her for 5 1/2 years.

Thanks for the pics! They are great! She is so sweet, her eyes peeking up over the table? or counter? It probably feels good to "air her parts" right?

That's funny! Sadie is my daughter's name! What kind of dog is she? When I had my Cairn terrier, she was like that! She loved balls and I called her my spider dog, cause when she would see a spider in the house she would go after it. She'd get all excited. I'd say "get it Kogee, get it!" She also loved to go out in the rain and zoom across the yard biting at the rain! Crazy dog!

My Sadie is 5 going on six years old now. I've had her since she was six weeks old. She still has a lot of her puppy innocence and energy. When we go on our daily walks she wants to say hello to almost everyone she meets. She will chase the tennis ball all night long if she can find someone to throw it to her.

NIGHTSKYSTAR Isn't that wonderful! She's living on your love! She is showing those darn doctors, what do they know!

What great stories! Aren't dogs just wonderful! They all have different personalities! I laughed when I read about how she lays, sleeps, carries a teddy emoticon and about her sexy swing! Thank you so much for sharing! Now I am going to try to look at your page and see if I can see some pictures! I really enjoy the pictures that people have on their pages!

Lucyfur is a clown. she flops her big black self down on her back and waves her feet in the air..then falls asleep that way. she carries a teddy around in her mouth...and on walks she has the butt swing of a runway model.
but most of all..her best trick? She lives. See, Lucyfur was diagnosed at 14 weeks with SAS..a horrid cardiac condition that affects some Newfs as well as some other breeds. The vet gave my sweet pup 6 months at the outside. when she turned a year i bit the bullet and took her to a top cardiologist. He has no clue why shes still alive..says she shouldnt be..
she just turned 5 1/2. years. shes livin on love..best trick ever!!

Sorry! I thought I sent this last night?

GOOZLEBEAR It's funny how dogs react after abuse. Edgey loves attention too, she seems to like men better, because son-in-law treated her better. She is learning to know that everyone isn't mean.

TWEETYKC00 Pookie Bear, what a cute name! What kind of dog is she? Westie? How long have you had her and how is she doing now?

TEESTER2 I think that is Edgey's favorite pass time too. Oh what a great story! It is funny how small dogs think that could take on anything!

Thank you all for your stories! I love dogs, almost all of them. I got Edgey a booster seat for the car and at first she just shook like crazy! She is an expert on turning on the shakes! Now I think she really is starting to like riding in the car, we go to yard sales, the dog park and this weekend I started taking slow little rides in neighborhoods with the window down so she check everything out. Yesterday we checked out some goats and a horse.

I hope you don't mind me putting you as a Sparkfriend?

She chases off all the dangerous bunnies, barks away all the coyotes and foxes, and is a great rattlesnake proximity alarm. Have not seen one this summer, but they try to get close to the shady hangar and her water dish. It is a matter of time that one will get brave or stupid enough to try it.

A neighbor gave us Shellie three or four years ago. She was obese when I got her and still is. As am I. She is probably 13 or 14. Her favorite pass time is sleeping. She can't catch. Watches it all the way to her face and snaps as an after thought. She hates to go walking, unless we are in the woods. Loves to chase, though. Which will get us in trouble if we are at our vacation spot in the woods. The deer are like pets in that neighborhood.
She stays up most of the night and prefers to sleep outdoors. She considers herself a supreme watch dog and growls like a bear if she sees or smells something amiss. Then suddenly, she is no longer an old dog and will charge the fence at unseen danger That would terrify me because she would challenge a bear if she saw one! And there are bears in our summer Community!.

Rescued Pookie Bear from an abusive home. She was malnourished and covered in mud, had not seen grass... Brought her home and took her into our big back yard and she was so excited to have her own yard to play in she had an asthma like attack and we had to sit with her on the deck and calm her down. She had a blast in the yard.

That makes me so sad that your little pup was so mistreated, she will come around with all the love and care you will give her.

My rescued Jack Russell, Zoey, is such a funny little dog. She was neglected, terribly, before she was rescued. She loves to please everyone and loves attention. She thinks everyone who comes to our house is here to see her only!

Share something funny, cute or quirky about your dog. A nice story we can all enjoy! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Will my little Yorkie has been mistreated for 6 years, I have only had her for a few months, she is timid, scared of everything, dogs, people, shys down, it's sad. She doesn't know how to catch a ball or play with toys. She is gradually doing better, everyone thinks she is so cute when we go to yard sales! At home we have moments where she actually becomes playful, it's so cute and I love our moments, but than it's like something clicks and she remembers she is suppose to be the timid dog and quickly changes back. It is gradual but I can see the changes!
