Thanks! I saw Musher's Secret and wondered if people found it worked like they claim it does.

Hello!

I searched the Dog Lovers team for discussion of dog boots and found mention some folks use them for their dogs. I am looking for a recommendation for a good brand or type of dog boots for walking on pavement.

I have two herding dogs used to pasture and soft ground. They're hard-working, athletic dogs, but have never really walked on pavement or cement. We've sold the farm and moved to the suburbs and my active dogs (and I) need lots of exercise to take the place of the farm work that used to keep us busy.

We've been walking a lot, and tried to do some running, but their foot pads do not seem to be building up a good solid surface, instead remaining thin and tender. I have to alternate days of outdoor walking with treadmill walking, skip the running outdoors entirely, and really keep an eye on their feet.

If you have used boots on your dogs, do you have a favorite brand? What were the important features of those boots? What should I steer clear of?

Thanks in advance for your help!
