pity you didn't use ur spoiled Malbec to make vinegar as a household disinfectant.

Found kit wines to be inordinately expensive in Australia.

Why not brew some alcoholic ginger beer to have something quick to drink while you are waiting for your wines?

Consider making some parsnip wine, it has a great flavour.

Hi all,

Just got an e-mail from my favorite homebrew store that California and Italian juices will be on their way in the next month. I'm about to bottle my latest white -- Viognier -- so it's time to do a red. My last red -- Malbec -- I think got tainted and I had to throw it out, much to my dismay. First bad batch ever! So it won't be a Malbec. Reds I have made: Shiraz and Chianti. The Shiraz was a true "kit" wine (and my first ever) and came out pretty good. The Chianti is a wee bit strong so I'm letting do some more bottle aging to improve the flavor a bit more.

Any suggestions most appreciated. I prefer dry to medium (nothing sweet).

Thanks!

Patrick
