I have worked 12 hours a day all week so everything is off. Couldn't even make Ash Wednesday service yesterday, so I am really depressed. I did run out at lunch one day to check our "Quick Weight Loss Center" but it just didn't feel right. The place was dumpy and they want you to come in every day. If I had an extra hour each day, I'd be better off exercising. LOL. I had heard that they worked with people who eat out 75% of the time, but they haven't changed and don't work that way. I had hoped for a program that could specifically not just say eat grilled chicken and salad with no dressing . . . but that was exactly their advice. Duh, I knew that but I can't live on that.

One day at a time . . .

I'm just the opposite!!! I've been getting lots of exercise(for me anyway) but the eating is out of control!!! Yesterday was my first good day and that was only because it was Ash Wednesday and I was trying to fast.

I started off today with a banana and a Hershey bar for breakfast!! I'm not at work so I'm out of the normal pattern. Did 15 min of Wii and some strength tho!!!

I would say don't push your luck with the super - lol That is great that your hubby packed his own lunch that means he is learning. good job for you both.

have a wonderful day everyone.

I am not doing so well. I have no montiviation to get up off my butt to do my exercises this week. I have been good with the food intake but no exercises this week. I also have only been sleeping for about 5 hrs every night. Last night was 6 and it was a very restful one - I don't even remember waking up in the middle of the night.

OK so this isn't my baby steps but managed to get the DH to pack his own healthy lunch for work today. Thats a big step cause every time we have dieted before, I have had to do everything. Maybe I could teach him to do supper??????????
How is everyone else doing?

After several months of losing my motivationa nd control, I am back. My small steps for now are to log in daily to SP, record my food (all of it) and exercise, and giving myself permission to not stress over the times that I slip.

I think that when I first came to SP i did what i normally do with any new "diet" program...dive in head first, nearly drown and then decised it isn't worth the "risk" (effort). After a "AH HA" moment earlier this week, I realized that I have to be "responsible for what I say and do" in this life style change and to emoticon making excuses for why its not happening for me.

I'm learning to take small steps toward a large reward.

OUCH on that 300 boxes.

Baby steps are great to get back into the swing of things. I am only working out for 15 min a day and adding 30 min workouts when I can get them in. As long as I get those 15 in I am happy. My goal for Feb is to exercise more. So far I have done 4 - 15 min workouts and 1 30 so far this month. YEA ME!!

Hi all - I have had only steps backward. My daughter and I have been home sick. I am back at work today but still coughing and blowing my nose. So of course I gained weight, did on exercise and totally blew all my motivation. Not to mention couldn't sell any cookies. May be eating the 300 extra boxes I ordered (yes, 300 had a little math error).

One day at a time . . .

Ok so my small changes must be working. I LOST 2 lbs this week. And my baby step this weekend was no takeaways of any discription even though I got home late from Guides on Friday and didn't feel like cooking. Hubby is being very strict about his diet if it was up to me we might have had that take out on Friday. I suppose that is why he lost 6.5 lbs this week.
Like the idea of the Fun Glasses Kris I just found a new bottle I like and I plan to chugg the water down all day today

I try to remember that if it isn't something that I'm willing to do atleast 5 times a week....it ain't gonna work! And if it's something that HAS to happen, I figure out a way to do it or make it more enjoyable. For instance: Water....I make sure I have "fun" glasses to use at work.

I try to make small changes. The first for me has been portion control. Next, adding more healthy choices to my normal diet. Finally, focusing on regular fitness. Bootcamp has helped so much with this one. In general, I like exercise, but the bootcamp has inspired daily workouts to stay on track.

Have been really out of it for the last few months but decided that now is the time to start making changes.
So for the first time in a long time, I logged all my food and I stayed within my calorie limit for the day. Also drank all my water. This is what it is about Baby steps
What baby steps are you taking to accomplish your goals of a healthier you?
