I handled Thanksgiving okay, not much overeating, it has been hard to get back into the eating correctly grove. I also have been struggling to get 4 days of exercise in.

Good for you! I've been lazy this week! Yuck.

If you got a traffic ticket would you break every traffic law the rest of the day? Then why toss the whole day over a slice of pizza? ~Indygirl

Well the fruit and raw veggie think worked on Thursday, and I dropped a couple pounds. Of course, I got one back from the company party on Friday night, but it was worth it. I was proud of myself, as I took a vacation day on Friday and first thing I did was go to the YMCA and do an aerobics class. Plus I signed up for the Xmas workout special on Saturday morning . . . and I went to that too. Took Sunday off, as my poor old body was aching all over.

One day at a time . . .

I did pretty good on Thanksgiving. I made sure that I ate a little of each thing that I wanted but didn't overdo it. When I finished I felt full but not stuffed with that sick feeling. I even treated myself to a small piece of sugar free chocolate pie.

It'll be ok. I hate that mental thing!!!! I know exactly what you mean. Why do we have to think of food the way we do. There are days I'll just eat and eat for no reason. Other days I can do ok. Some days I have all kinds of will power and others, I don't care one little bit. I don't have much advise for you, just keep your chin up and do the best you can. Encourage yourself when you do good. We're here for you!

Oh my gosh . . . so much for my getting through Turkey day without a gain. Ever since, I have been gaining a quarter pound or so a day. BOO HOO -this morning I crossed over one of those 10 pound marks and now weigh more than I ever have in my life. I don't know what to try anymore. I am just heart sick. The only thing I could think of to do today was do an all fruit and vegetable day. I had an orange for breakfast. I am starving already (no doubt a mental thing). Help!

One day at a time . . .

I went to my sister's house at noon; a co-worker's home at 3pm and then to my boyfriends family house at 6pm.

On Friday I went to my other sister's house for leftovers.

I gained 1/2 pounds

WHEW!

I want to get to a healthy weight and stay there forever. I don't have to make huge changes all at once, just small ones consistently.

I was sure I gained, because I drank and snacked all weekend. Not only Thanksgiving, but my in-laws 50th Wedding Anniversary and there were big family gatherings. I drank my water first thing in the morning, like always, and was surprised when I got on the scale this morning, I was still the same...YEAH!!!

I stayed the same-thank goodness! I ate and drank. I made sure I ate good before the holidays. I even got a walk in on Thanksgiving.

I did okay food wise. Did lots of walking Friday & Saturday as my mom dragged me out shopping. I didn't step on the scale so I don't know for sure.

Well, for the US folks, the first of the big holidays is past. Let's take a poll - how did you do? Up, down (and how much) or stayed the same?

I stayed the same (had extra time, so got back to working out)
