It looks like the Daisy-Go-Rounds are alot like the cinnaspins... they're in 5 100 cal packs and cinnamon flavored. Perhaps they just redesigned them to celebrate daisies getting to sell?

Been away for a few days. My daughter sells about 1000 boxes. As the prizes are cummulative, she hauls in quite a few. Her favorite is the stuffed animal. Last year she got a cute wall clock. And sometimes they have pretty beach towels (nice quality too). She is a first year Cadette, and sells most of her cookies door to door. We pretty much walk all day the first few weekends of cookie sales. She loves it. My next best seller in the troop drops to the 300-500 level. Most sell about 150. Our cookies went up when we merged with the new council (from $3 $3.50) and it did really hurt sales. Plus carrying all those heavy quarters around isn't fun either. I see they did away with Cinn-a-spins after only one year. We loved them and they sold good for us. I never saw them only keep a cookie one year.

One day at a time . . .

I agree, it's great to give the cookies to charity. We have always given cases to the local children's home, and last year we sent boxes to the troops overseas. You should have seen the letter and photos we got back of the service men/women eating cookies. It was great!

Our cookies have been $4.00 a box for the last few years. With the economy, gas prices etc. I just don't know how well sales will be this year.

We always raise donations for our local Food Pantry.
I take boxes of cookies to hand out for free to the people coming for food. They really appreciate the cookies cause they could never afford to treat themselves to this "luxery". The huge smiles and thank yous are so rewarding.

My troop had 5 girls last year, and my daughter sold 280 with cookie booths, a set of sisters(not twins) sold 85 each with cookie booths(hard because they had the same customers, just alternated houses and lived in the same neighborhood as the next girl), next girl sold 150 with cookie booths, and the last sold 80 with cookie booths. We did 2 cookie booths, one outside our Super Walmart where we sold 100 boxes(ran out of mints or we would've probably done 150), then another outside Cici's Pizza which we sold 32(yes, 32) because people got free dessert with their dinners and the other half were going to the gym next door and didn't want to buy cookies :(. I was SO upset when I saw that total, I almost cried. The one outside Walmart was a dissapointment too, but not as bad. I have no idea what this year is going to be like, but we won't be doing Cici's again, for sure. I think we'll try a grocery store since they seem to do pretty well there. We might try Walmart again, but I'm not sure. We sell in January as well, and I hate it because it's SOOOO cold here in MD. That hurts our door to door too, because the girls don't really want to freeze walking around. If I didn't sell 36 boxes to one of my co-workers, Mary's total would've been less too. I'm not *technically* supposed to ask people at work, but I got around it by asking the people as we were leaving or on lunch and writing it down on paper and then transferring it at home. The one time I brought the form in I got a verbal warning! (I work for BJs Wholesale Club and they don't allow soliciting).
Btw, our's were $3.50/box last year, I'm assuming they'll be the same this year, although I'm not sure.

We've at $3.50 for two years now.

We also use Little Bakers. Since last year was my first year I have nothing to compare it to. However, our Troop Leader said sales were way down. Her girls usually sold close to 800 boxes but last year barely 300.

I want to get to a healthy weight and stay there forever. I don't have to make huge changes all at once, just small ones consistently.

I agree about it not being a good cookie year. When we merged councils, our cookies went from $3.00/box to $3.50/box and our troop sales were really off. As Cadettes, my girls didn't do as much door to door, and our booth sales were off as well. In fact I still have cookies from last year that we couldn't sell. In 7 years as a leader, this is the first time I have had cookies left over.

We use Little Brownie Bakers, and I've been told by customers that they are better than ABC Bakers. We exchanged several boxes at our booth last year for dissatisfied customers.

I don't think its going to be a good cookie year. For one thing we are caddets the drive in the first place to go door to door I think gets lost besides the problems. I think we will have to earn most of our money other ways.

The prizes are so crummy! It's ridiculous. To me, it's a waste of money. I guess I don't know what the prizes are for that many cookies. We sell around 200 boxes too. How does she sell that many?

We don't do door to door......It's just too cold! She doesn't want to go to camp, so I don't try to sell more then that.

We were Little Brownie with our old council and ABC since the merger. I liked the cookies better with the old baker, but they aren't that much different. I just wish they would quit going up on costs - sales are really down. Thank goodness we stil get to go door to door.
Some in my troop were talking about forgoing prizes for more money to the troop. My daughter loves the prizes and she sells aobut 1000 boxes compared to an average of 200 each for the rest of the troop, I hope that isn't going to be a problem. Won't worry about that for now.

That's interesting because my daughter was saying something about the fact that they aren't encouraging the girls to go door to door but rather rely on booth sales & employers. If that's what my daughter is left with she's in trouble. I work with a staff of 5 and DH isn't allowed to take the form to work. It is going to be interesting for sure!!!

We have always used Little Brownie Bakers as long as I can remember. Last year with the realignment we switched to ABC because ABC is now located in our council. So we figured we should use them. I didn't find much difference in them. People have a hard time with the cookie name change though. I didn't care either way since LBB discontinued my favorite cookie anyway. Lemon Coolers! Yum!

We sell in early January in Iowa.

I am kind of interested this year on how Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are going to sell their products. We will do the stores of course. But in the city we live they passed a law that you can not just go up to peoples house to sale products. You will have to get permission from the city and wear a badge stating you have permission plus their are house that you can't go to at all. One of the reasons was a young lady got raped by a magazine sales man. This is one of the reasons they enacted this law.
