Breakfast is hard for me too. I'm always running late and don't have time to sit for a meal. I often grab a SlimFast to drink while driving to work.
If I take the time Oatmeal keeps me full for awhile.
At work, everyone grabs a yogurt for a quick breakfast or snack.
Someone just started a Smoothie Team on Sparks, so I thought that might be a great idea for breakfast. They are starting a Reciepe Book for them too.

Breakfast was always hardest for me as well, I am not good at planning and that is SO crucial to staying within calorie range for me. I started bringing a whole package of cereal and a half carton of milk, or I will bring in bagels enough for each day or english muffins with peanut butter or I can't believe its not butter spray or low cal jams. Fruit is a biggie for me, I must bring in fruit or I am looking for the sweets....danger.....

Funny, I was just thinking about posting a breakfast topic. My problem is that I don't like breakfast food. The only thing I like for breakfast is donuts, kolaches, french toast, pancakes, etc. - even cake or pie will do. I don't eggs, bacon, sausage, toast (sorry - that's dried up bread to me), etc. I can do oatmeal or cereal once in a while, but oatmeal makes me sleepy. For about 6 months I ate those dried up, cardboard tasting breakfast bars, but I can't face another one. So there's all my NEGATIVES. Ha Ha. The idea I wanted to try (but haven't had time) is to make some low-fat banana or pumkin bread or muffins. Of course, this is tricky - to get a tasty recipe thats still low-fat. But that would be my suggestion - make muffins on the weekend and bring one each day. Now if I can only follow my own advice.

One day at a time . . .

I leave the house at 6:30 am to be at work by 7 am. I am not an early morning eater, so I, too, suffer from this problem. I am fortunate that we have a small fridge at the office, so I try to keep ind. servings of canned fruits (peaches, pineapple ,etc) in it. i also keep fat free milk in it and and a box of cold cereal (high in fiber) in the area. We also have a microwave, so that helps me with my lunch meals also...I can heat up soups and ready to eat meals and not be tempted to eat out at a fast food place. The important issue for me is keeping it stocked. When it gets bare, I get lazy!

I'm learning to take small steps toward a large reward.

This is my problem too. I try to mix it up. BUt I am always looking for new ideas. I looooovveee cold cereal, but it has to be the sugary no good for you stuff. So I try really hard to stay away. I will be curious to hear the ideas.

Fiber One Bars-There are four varieties now. I like to have popcorn for breakfast, not a traditional breakfast food. Banana. I bring a package of english muffins and a jar of low sugar jam, that will last all week. Packages of oatmeal. Yogurt. You could even do small portions of cheese and crackers. Small portions of nuts and eat w some fruit.

I keep Little Bites (teenie muffins) and Trail Mix bars. Any when I eat 2 packs of Little Bites w my coffee, I'm still only @ 400 calories.

I want to get to a healthy weight and stay there forever. I don't have to make huge changes all at once, just small ones consistently.

I am really bad about running out to work in the morning without breakfast and ending up starving by 9AM. Any ideas of something good to keep in my desk to eat with my coffee in the mornings?

TIA!
