Hi Sam,

That is a pretty good turn out with so little SU participation, and what a great thing you and your troop are doing by donating to the Susan G Komen Foundation.

I also noticed your ticker very very inspiring you are dedicated, I can tell.....

Sometimes council just is a place we go to for events and other times they are more helpful, they are a hit and miss for our SU unfortunately.

That is great. Too bad on the SU part.Sounds like they missed out on the fun.

If you got a traffic ticket would you break every traffic law the rest of the day? Then why toss the whole day over a slice of pizza? ~Indygirl

Yes it was just my troop. I am very disappointed in my SU as no one from any other troop came. The registar of our SU came with her grandchildren but no other leader came. Usually our SU is really good about supporting all the troops but I'm thinking we had a bad date being so close to end of school year. Who knows. But all in all, it was fun. I finally got the finances together and the girls raised $385. Not bad for 30 attendees.

It was just your troop putting it on? Wow. Glad you feel better about it now then yesterday.

My troop's bingo night was last night and am I glad it's over! I have 6 girls in my troop but 1 is out of town this week so she did absolutely nothing to help prepare for it and she didn't pre-sell any tickets. So my 5 girls that did do all this were great! 2 of them were 35 min late getting there so they didn't help setting up. The bingo game was missing balls. One of the coolers leaked everywhere. We still have GS cookies left. Pizza & drinks were a big hit. One of my mom's who has a 1 yo let him run around the who time and he kept trying to take the bingo balls. We had about 30 people show so it was small but everyone had a fantasic time. (I was somewhat disapppointed in # of tickets sold but this is the first event like this we've done.) The girls loved being in charge of the game. I haven't counted how much we raised yet. I'm guessing we are donating about $40 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation from this. If I had to do this again I would. (Ask me that last night and I would have said no way!)
