Congrats! My troop won't have anyone bridging this year.

I want to get to a healthy weight and stay there forever. I don't have to make huge changes all at once, just small ones consistently.

How awesome. I want to go there to bridge. I don't think we can swing that. We want to go to England to the World Center. But I think your trip sounds awesome.

If you got a traffic ticket would you break every traffic law the rest of the day? Then why toss the whole day over a slice of pizza? ~Indygirl

Friday night we flew into San Francisco for our Bridging ceremony on Saturday. We flew into oakland then took a bus to Bart their subway. Then Bart to Union Square where we stayed in a Hostel. Never have stayed in a Hostel and didn't know what to expect. But it was fine and a lot cheaper than staying at a hotel in San Francisco. Their were three or four other troops staying at the same place as us. The Hostel cost 25.00 dollars per girl and we got breakfast of toast, bagels, cream cheese, orange juice, coffee, tea, cereal and then if we wanted something different it was 50 cents for a danish or maybe a banana etc.. I asked another troop how much they were paying for the hotel they were staying at and it cost them two hundred fifteen dollars per four girls. So we saved a little over half. Never needed any cars or anything for our trip around. It was fun to take all the different kinds of transportation's we did. We walked the Golden Gate Bridge on Saturday and then at the Presidio park they had stuff going on for Girl Scouts. Most of the girls were from California but I met others from Nevada, Washington. I heard their was nine other states their. Sunday we rode the trolleys went to Alcatraz and Pier 39. Then we boarded a air plane that night. I am tired today, but had a great time. I am planning now to take my husband and son with us for a visit in San Francisco maybe after summer. I love San Francisco. Its got the vibrancy you would expect of a big city and lots of things to do. I have been their before several times, but its been a long time. Oh the guy on the trolley said don't you guys sing I have seen Girl Scouts all over the city this weekend and have not had one sing. So our troop sang for him and all the others on the trolley until we got to our stop. Everyone clapped for our troop. We had a great time.
